Most of you would have a tyre repair kit, including a valve removal gadget. Remove the internal valve, throw it away and leave, does not take long, payback for the bastard that deserves it.

    Yowie.

Isnt that why you have a bull bar on the front of your 4B, so that you take one of the rear corners off of their vehicle.

Problem is guys a majority of the time the pricks have done a runner before you see who it was, I some times wack the phone camera out and take a pic of the car and mine in view so if I come back to dents I keep my eye out for the vehicle next time im there in my local carpark. Yeah I have an easy deflator on my cargo area never thought of that. I use to love having the steel bar on previous prados both bars black in colour so I didnt give a shit as they were easy to touch up compared to the soverign. Use to love it with my old lux where they were to lazy to reverse back out and straighten up they just swing in then jump out with their arse end hanging over the the other parking spot beside them, If I could I would jump the centre island from behind and park next to them with bullbar just past there rear quarter with minimal gap so if they hit reverse the first thing they would hit was the steel bullbar with the rear quarter of their car but I was inside my lines, got paged a few times in my local carpark from centre management to say I was required at my car, I would then take my time walking to the hilux they they would say to me "you parked so close"" Id say no Im inside the line maybe next time instead of been lazy you should straighten your car up so another car can park beside you.............but I like the idea of removing valve, when I was younger I use to have stickers from my work I made up that said "people like you should catch a f###n bus. I would stick this to there window if they boxed me in and were a bastard to get off...........Cheers Steve

When I still had my ute, we went out to Boondall for a concert (Kings of Leon I think - great concert, sh!t venue). When we arrived I pulled into my spot, then the next car pulls in beside me and whill i'm grabbing my ticket out of the glovebox 'bang' the passenger in the car has slammed her door into mine. I get out and asked are you right, car load of girls, and she goes 'oh it's ok' and then walks off.

I was fuming for the entire concert - ruined the night. After the concert we waited until they got back and I asked for her details, she looked at it and said 'don't worry about it, you can hardly see it' she eventually gave me a name and phone number - rang it the next day and the number didn't exist.

I went on Facebook, and searched for people with her name, and who liked the Kings of Leon, about 10people showed up and there she was. Flicked her a message, no response, then tracked down her mate (who was the driver) and no response.

By this stage I had 2 quotes for the repair, cracked the paint, $380 to repair, so I rang the insurance and put it in their court, they said 'It's not worth the excess' pointed out that there was no excess, as I was not at fault and had identified the other party.

2 days later the girl rang me asking how it could be sorted out without the insurance, and she apologised for her friend.

At the end of the day it was alot of effort for a small amount of damage, but the attitude and total lack of respect for someone else's property really annoyed me and that's what made me persue it. If she had apologised at the time my reaction may have been different.

However now that I have rock sliders not an issue - someone opened their door right into my sidestep the other day and it damaged the edge of their door. Told them they should be more careful in future, they might damage someones car.

Only issue bigdog is when its there rear door, as its got that dog leg it generally opens up over your side steps or sliders and gets the side of the car. I dont even let our 3 (1 month off four) year old open any doors. I have the child lock on her side and it will remain on for god knows how long. She can undo the belt to her car seat and when were at home as I park the prado write over to the left so I can down the side of it in the garage she jumps out drivers side as well but she knows shes not aloowed to open the door as I do it for her and she also knows shes not allowed to crawl across the centre console to jump out my door.......And when I open my door in a tight spot (some times you just cant help it and cant find another spot) I always hold my hand on the edge of the door so if it gets away from me it will hit my hand not some one elses car, and if its extremely windy I will park out of the way cause for sure as shit some one will open there door forgetting the wind and bingo the winds got it and slams it into the side of my car....Fussy prick ?? Yeah I am, but as I said if I dent it then its my problem, no one else to blame except myself.Cheers Steve

                    Hello all,

The first dent is the worst, I got my first on Christmas day, closely followed by 300 more as the hail hit.

                    regards

                    Ross

Steve, you are spot on, and I'd say if she came in and did not give crap, I may well have flown off the handle..

I once had a guy at BCF open his passenger door on my Prado, left a nice white ding in my door, he did not even move his car to hide it. What actually drew my attention was so won had 'felt' the bump, there was a finger mark on the ding. I took photos of it, his car, rego and all and sat waiting, waiting, waiting. I think thy saw me and went into another drop to hide unil I left, I'll post his photo and rego if you want.

Lack of respect is what kills me. If they say sorry and are genuinely apologetic, then so be it, but the chicken shits run and hide..... Grrrrrr....

Christmas before last I went to lunch with a few mates and parked my new Clubbie in a spot between two driveways and there was only room for a car and a bit so didn't think about it. Anyway when we got back to the car there was a Subaru Forrester in front of my car. Hmmm. Half the Suby was over the driveway. AND his towbar was embedded in the front bar of my car! Took quite a few pics including the number plate etc. You could clearly see the driver parked by feel to get as much of his car behind the driveway but he was a bit enthusiastic and the tow bar punched through the plastic bar. Did the insurance thing and the other driver tried to say that I ran into his car! Anyway sorted with no excess.

That's true, it was the front door in this case. I do the same thing with my hand on the end of the door.

A few years back I was walking towards my car in a sloping car park, saw this woman who was parked three spaces up, picking up apples from under my car , quickly throw them on her back seat and drive off. At that point I was still a few metres away but she looked suspicious so I noted her number plate then went round to other side of my car and saw her trolly bashed into the door. After waiting a week for the police to get back to me with her address I went down to the station to see what was happening. The nasty bitch behind the counter said there was no record of it and asked who was the officer I reported it to. I said he didn't give me his name and she just gave me the brush off. Another officer who was there (probably seeing my blood boil) found the details on the computer, "accidentally" swivelled the monitor round to me and handed me a pen. I got the trolly hoon to pay the damage and got it fixed. A few days later I got a call from the station to tell me they had spoken to the woman. I said so did I and she paid up. He said, that was confidential information, who gave it to? I said I don't know, he didn't give me his name.
