If that's a "bit of a moment" I'd hate to see what a serious incident is. Glad you're ok.

Hey Green, unfortunately externally there was nothing to salvage. Internally was much the same and what wasn't damage was left in the rain for a week waiting to be recovered. The engine still ran (accidently turned the key whilst retrieving it) but it is sitting in an RACV depot in Omeo and I dare say the insurance company will try flog that off to someone to recoop some of the loss.Originally posted by GreenVX View PostHey Rogue, sorry to hear of your accident, hope you recover quickly.
Good to see you are straight back on the 4wd wagon again with a sturdy GUIII patrol none the less.
Would be happy to lessen your financial woes a little if you'd like to pass on some parts from the old 90 series (assuming it hasn't gone to the scrappers yet). PM me if you want.
With regards, Shannon.
I do still have the 3rd row "dicky" seats c/w headrests covered in the garrage as taking them out was the first thing I did when I got it. I also have the the large section of the 2nd row seats (so the 70 of the 70/30 split fold) c/w heatrests in the garage, I took them out for the last trip as it made getting things from the back door easier than if they were folded forward). Not to worry rogue, was going to ask for the snorkel and tjm bar if they wernt too bent but guess its better that the rig is bent and not the driver eh. :-) Have pulled my 3rd row seats too and rolled the 2nd row up as I fill the whole back a couple of times a week lugging goods around town for work.
Have had my share of insurance people problems in the past too, and have managed to get around some of their tape. If your car is insured then by and large it only covers the cost of the vehicle as it is from the factory so remember to grab all those bolt on goodies that arent under the policy, UHF radios, extra batteries, stereo and digital componants are only covered if they are on the vehicle at the time it was insured. If you dont pull these sort of things off before sending it to a claim yard then contact your insurer, you may be allowed to enter their claim yard to retrieve any personal effects/ goods in or on the vehicle provided you don't remove any major vehicle components like say a set of new wheels without replacing them with original gear.
Any extras that are covered under your policy have to stay though as these become property of the insurer in the event of a write off.
Best of luck to you, Shannon.97' Prado VX Grande Emerald/Silver, 3.4L, auto, Bilstein shocks/ Dobinsons coils 2'' lift, breathers on everything, snorkel, Maxxis Bighorns. Coming before Summer, Uniden uhf, spotties and with luck a winch bar.

I ended up picking up a 2002 GU III 4.8ltr Patrol. It's a bit of a gussler though so I may be going out and buying a brand spanking new 3ltr TD ST GU Patrol. I seriously considered a new Prado, but, I have decided to go for the larger vehicle. Wasn't an easy decision let me assure you. I loved my 90 and love the 120's. I would have steeped into a 200 series but they are another $20k on top of the price of the Patrol.2000 Prado RV6 ~ TJM Type 15 Steel Bullbar ~ Uniden 400SX-RM & GME4702 Ant ~ Front Tow/Recovery Hooks ~ ARB Recovery Kit ~ ARB CKMP12 Air Compressor ~ DIY Rear Door Trim & Table ~ Extended Diff Breathers ~ Safari Snorkel ~ Wireless Reverse Camera ~ Iron Ox Full Length Roof Rack ~ Looong Wish List ...
