Well at 71 I must be the old bloke who keeps the average up.

Bought the Prado to tow the caravan and could not have made a better choice.
Now done 43000kms towing van and only trouble was with the injectors replaced outside warranty/extended warranty.

Should have bought one a lot earlier.

    Anyway time for a snooze
    Pedro

I am 30, though feeling a lot older at the moment due to sleep deprivation as I have a 2 month old and 2 year old at home. I have always wanted a Toyota and it feels great to finally own one. The prado is perfect for my needs which is to do as much touring as possible to show my kids this great country that we live in.
      Cheers, Matt

I'll second this sentiment completely. I'm 40, married, 3 kids (soon to be 4), on our first 4WD, which we've had for about 2 years. Previously I've had a couple of Commodores (still have 1 as the 2nd car), a couple of old mazda's, and a HX Kingswood. While I've taken Commodore's in places that are theoretically 4WD only (Condamine River gorge, Coalstoun Lakes, Cooloola National Park), having the 4WD really opened up a new world of possibilities. It's good to have a vehicle that is comfortable around town, capable of holding all the crap that you have to take with you when you go away with kids, and capable enough at handling the rough stuff that we have more destinations available to us.
I don't think it is a car for old farts at all - it is a car for anyone who wants a versatile all-rounder.

Thank God for Pedro at 71!! I thought my 51.8 years was going to win the cup. I too have had the V8 thumpers and a mix of other 6 and 4 cylinder rides. Interestingly, a guy at work just picked up a VW Sirocco - had a drive today and does that thing fly!!
My 150 is my first diesel and of the 10 vehicles I've owned I think I am happiest with this one. But then again I'm now the wrong side of 50 so maybe there is something to what the OP is on about?
                Cheers,

Not bragging in any way, (as its crazy really, wife says could have had house paid for twice over in what i have pain in rego transfers) but I have honestly had over 40 vehicles this is 2 bikes, 2 ski boats, poptop, camper trailer the rest cars and 4wd's. Was always a joke with my family who all live from the coast up, as to what vehicle I would turn up in at June long weekend and then at xmas time. Have settled a bit since buying the house but a rough guess would be more then 10 in the 14 years we have been in the house, mainly the wifes car, sold our commodore she didnt even know till I rang and told her then ordered her new one over the phone.......Cheers Steve

Mate I'm 29 and I've had a fully sick VT when I got my license and many more V8 Jeep, Hyundai Sonata, Toyota Camry the list goes on but I always wanted a Prado!! I don't care what anyone says and my mates all have 100 series cruisers and GQ Patrols but I still keep up with all of them and in some cases ( for whatever reason ) do better than they do!!!!!

I would still love a 200 series but one can't afford it and two can't justify what they want for one but a Prado I can.... I'll literally have a Prado until I die or the wife cracks the shits lol

For the record, the ex did NOT get the first Prado, While being financially raped and sodomised, I kept my pride
