Its good to see that Holden do reply to the public's queries and regards. I cant wait to see what they do to the ad to make it a "safe recovery" ...im guessing they just cut the whole part of pulling the vehicle out; and just towing a trailer full with bricks. Either way, its a good resolution.

Just received a reply to my email to them yesterday asking why the ad was still on TV:

Dear David,

In response to your additional feedback, we take this opportunity to confirm that we have consulted the national 4WD motoring body (4WD Australia) with regards to a final advert soon to be screened through media outlets. Please rest assured this advert will depict a safe recovery of a stranded vehicle suitable to the circumstances portrayed.

We again thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.

I dare say that they are stalling until the campaign push is over. Once the campaign is complete, then they'll pull it (as they would normally anyhow)

Just saw the another version of the ad here on 9 during the Block at 7.35pm, same ad however the words 'rated shackle and chain used for safe recovery' are displayed in full hd viewable only fine print...

Just saw the ad here in Brisvegas they have changed the tow point to a yellow colored tow point. Probably rated and have also edited the as with less "irresponsible" driving.

Well done 4WDrivers for showing the way, the next step is to highlight this in the media to show we are serious about safety and here to stay.

The whole ad looks better. I think they just slowed everything down to make it a bit more sensible and yeah, possibly digitally added the recovery point?
