what they make a bullbar because one person orders one and then another as the next order comes in??????
Surely they have a run of bullbars, keep them in a warehouse and then get them out to their individual stores.
They would know when they place the order from the shop, if there is any in the warehouse or not, this should trigger another run from the factory.

I think the problems comes back to the fact that there was the floods in Thailand and all the delays for the various vehicle manufacturers bringing new cars to the market. For a while there you couldn`t get a car for love or money, wasn`t it all diesel fuel rail supply problems or something.
We have had a lot of vehicles come into the market in a relative short time. Suggest that they are under the pump and playing catch up, but I wouldn`t mind if ARB made one for me just because I asked for it. I would like it in pink with green stars.
stepped up the a 200 LC for towing,
but had a 2012 and 2010 150 Prado GXL auto diesel in Graphite with Bridgestone D697 A/T. Dobinson C59-300/325 and Bilsteins. Accessories : two baby seats. Sidewinder`s Dual Battery isolator and rear power outlet kit. Pirana Battery tray, Hayman Reese towbar with Toyota wiring kit and Brains`s guard.

You can bet your left nut that you dont sell Prado bullbars or shocks everyday.
ARB factory here and in Thailand is currently operating 24x6 to keep up with demand. If you think they're falling on hard times read their latest financial statement and look at their stock price.

The only reason I didn't buy a delux arb bar is that I didn't want to wait atleast nine weeks.

When they make a bullbar and put it in a warehouse, it is not making them any money, so they only make to what they need.
They do not do runs of one make of bullbar, as it is all done by computer controlled machines, so they do need to manually change things around for each type of bull bar, it is just a program in the machine and they just choose the one needed.

Yes I know ARB is a very profitable company, but like any company on the stockmarket, you need to show increasing profit margins for your stakeholders.....

Wrong again, the bar sub-assemblies are folded and bent by machine but they are still hand welded on jigs. They do a run of one type of bar at a time.

That is correct, I was told they do 50 at a time for each specific model, as stated ARB are simply just flat out because they have a product in great demand.

              Cheers Andrew

The other issue for all of these supplies is that the backlog from Toyota for Hilux's, Prado's etc is starting to catch up which is putting pressure on ARB. Their sales were considerably lower post earthquake/tsunami so now they are trying to ramp up to cover these delays especially with regards to minings requirements.

When I ordered new suspension for the 90, they couldn't supply MD springs for the front for a month & a half. They put HD springs in the front, then swapped them over for free to the MD when they came in.

That's an annoyance, but at the same time, pretty good customer service I think.

I have a Sahara Bar on order since mid May. I have been told it may not be ready until August. I would have changed brands if I knew from the outset.

                      Aadrian

When I bought my ARB bar it took 4 weeks, TJM just laughed when I went to order one of theirs, I just received TJM side steps and they took 6 weeks as well. I think the problem is with so many models of different 4by's they are manufacturing to order to keep stock levels down.

See ya on the tracks, Richo.

Just ordered a deluxe bar for my Prado 90. The sales person said that there could be a bit of a wait (up to four months) since they have to wait until at-least 5 customers shows interest before they start producing it. Guess it makes sense, as the 90 series is fairly old. Either-way - Cant wait!

Hi guys, we certainly appreciate your frustration and are working overtime to minimise the current delays on some of our products.

During the last 6 months we have experienced record demand for our products and this, coupled with the release of many new and face-lifted vehicles recently, is resulting in the delays you are experiencing.

Our Kilsyth factory has been, and will continue to work 24 hours a day to keep up with this demand.

In order to further maximise our output, we have recently made significant investments to increase our manufacturing capabilities including the commencement of a third factory (which will be more than double the size of our main Kilsyth premises), and the purchase of additional machinery (worth more than $3million) to increase efficiency and output in our current factories.

Hopefully this goes some way to explaining the reason for the current delays and reassures you that we're doing everything possible to meet our extraordinary demand.

                          Cheers, Sam.
