I've got the same question. Do I still need recovery points or can I use the points on the arb winch bar with an equaliser strap? my towball was stuck used numerous wd40 cans, didnt budge.Originally posted by MidLifeCrisis View PostTry wd40, wipe off excess and use heat, then cool, then wd40 repeat as necessary and a pipe on the end on the wrench for leverge.
(Roo, I found a helpful non bs post!)
ended up just using treetrunk protector and snatch strap around a tree and yanked it off.

That depends, what model Prado do you have? What bullbar do you have? There are lots of threads on recovery points with loads of info and opinions for each model if you do a search.Originally posted by polishpeter View Postcan i mount 2 rated recovery pointswith the bullbar

There are no rated recovery points that will fit with the 120 series ARB bullbar. As to whether you can use the ARB ones, well that depends on who is doing the recovery and what they require. ARB will tell you they are not recovery points (although even this varies for store to store) with no other options most people are happy to use them with an equaliser strap, we allowed this option on the 2012 GTG but it really depends on your situation, some clubs may not allow that so there is no real answer to your question.Originally posted by Boyce View PostI've got the same question. I actually made new bullbar mounts for my ARB bar so I could incorporate "rated" recovery hooks which pretty much eliminates any doubt about the use of mine, follow the link in my signature below to my rig build if you want to look. All the mods and there post number are listed in the first post.

Thanks Andrew. I appreciate your feedback. I guess if it was good enough for the 2012 GTG then it will be fine for the odd occasion (not yet!) that I might need some assistance. Cheers!
