Thanks Steve, I've had a look at their 120 points and they are the same as everyone else sells and will not fit. I will have to look to see if the 150 points would fit.

I have taken the discussion of 120 front recovery points with an ARB bar over to the thread it belongs on:

Good choice, as long as it is the version that is fixed to both chassis rails and the crossmember.

What its the 900 dollar plus installation one, how many are there?
The guy that sold it to me was a recovery instructor, and i told him i wanted it for that specific purpose.

There were 2 types. One was fixed to just the crossmember. I think this one has been made obsolete. $900 sounds rich.

I thought all 150 tow bars were attached to the chassis rails.

                Cheers Andrew

HR started the crossmember attachment only design for the 150 and it later got changed to be similar to Toyota's. Several examples of both instances below.

The actual unit of competency can be found at http://training.gov.au/TrainingCompo...DRV302A_R2.pdf

performence criteria 4.2 "identify recovery points and prepare vehicle for recovery."
performence criteria 4.3 "apply recommended mounting strategy on the four wheel drive vehicle and use of rated recovery equipment."

recommended mounting strategy - would be vehicle specific
no mention of "rated recovery points" just rated recovery equipment

so its upto the individual training organisation what they teach you as long as they cover the above points.

My 2 cents, I would & do use the tow hitch method with the purpose made receiver hitch thing, or the recovery points in the kaymar bar.
