I've been driving a Prado for just over a year now and I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that I find myself admiring other like minded Prado drivers' rigs as they pass. But I also find myself chucking out a wave in acknowledgement in a job well done (be it mods or just the fact they drive a Prado!). I remember as a young lad sharing the front seat with my Dad in the family Combi van and it was mandatory to wave to like minded VW owners as you passed. I suppose you could be waving like an idiot all day with so many Prado's on the road, but it couldn't hurt to try and bring back the wave, could it? Everything seems to be about the immediate these days, getting things immediately, only worrying about your immediate surrounds, that sort of thing, rarely considering the people around you sharing this bloody great country. Who knows, taking the time to acknowledge a stranger, just because you share a choice of car, could just make some-ones day.
Just a thought, I'll keep waving, and still get weird looks, but it might catch on (again).
Cheers,
Dusty.
