    McBain,

    why did they revise the quote to 1250 after your initial quote of 1350? Since they have not only wasted your time and 100 in cab fare, you should ask for reimbursement.

    I think monday is boxing day and I doubt the store would be open. If it's not delievered by monday, cancel the order and give boab4x4 a ring to see if they can better the quote.

    Good luck

      Reckon they owe you $100 in cab fare 'cause it was their screw up.

        1250 bar + 130 install. - 10% discount on both. or something like that but it came in at $1251.

        just found out that one of the guys i hired couple of months back is mates with the owner of cleaveland ARB... getting a quote from there too..

        annoying side of it is if they'd said "it'll be two weeks" at the start, it wouldn't have mattered!

          Screw it Mcbain.

          Go the ARB bar. Its a much better finished product. You will not be dissapointed with the purchase.

          It may sting at first but when you see the car with its nose job you will instantly fall in love and like most when in this lovey dovey lust/ love phase will instantly forget about the extra money you spent because she looks damn hot!!!!

            Stuck my head into ARB today.

            $2400 for the deluxe winch bar, colour coded and installed with ipf 900xs spotties.

            I'm very tempted but the price could be a lot better! Was only 140 off.

                      Not at all mate , many members here have had an ARB winch bar FITTED for under $1600

                      All you need to do is ring around and play the dealers off against each other .

                        I'm with Damien - since the other guys have rooted you around, it is a perfect opportunity to reconsider the issue.

                        Besides, it's the closest to a sure thing - very few Prado owners are unhappy with their ARB Deluxe bars.

                            ARB quote $1746 in their July 07 catalogue. If you can't pick up one up for around $1500 fitted, by playing dealers against one another I'd be very surprised. Price will depend on color coding.

                              breakup of the quote from Coopers Plains was

                              $1,536 for Bar
                              $ 220 for colour
                              $ 240 for install.
                              --------
                              $1,996 all up.

                              Then

                              $ 399 for lights
                              $ 140 to install
                              --------
                              $ 539 all up.

                              total $2,535. discounted to $2,400.

                              got quote back from another store for $1,845 for the bar coloured and installed.

                              will probably install the lights myself to knock that bit back a bit further.

                              back to the original store tomorrow to see if they'll better it and or get it installed sooner!
