Bloody Spiders!

I certainly don't like spiders and can't tolerate them inside our house except for Daddy Long Legs' which get a reprieve unless they come within arms reach. Huntsmen are certainly not harmless as they can give a very nasty bite. White Tips and Redbacks are too poisonous to allow them to remain in or around the house especially with young children.

We use Mortein Control Bombs on a 3 monthly basis along with Mortein NaturGard Automatic Indoor in our house. We also love the Mortein Spider Spray and although it is for outdoor use, it's definitely been used inside. When all else fails a good coating leaving the spider rather white with flyspray usually works a treat. Huntsmen, White Tips and Redbacks are definitely destroyed on discovering.

I will admit, I used to squeal and scream, but now that I've lived on my own and become a Mum you learn to deal with such things. Mice on the other hand... if they are in a trap dead then I'm happy. And these South Australian ants bloody bite.

Snakes... never had a problem yet, thank goodness. Had a few blue tongue lizards at the last house, which the dog usually discovers first and then we have to rescue the lizard before she kills it.

Many times out in the bush I have had need to take a leak. On one occasion a red bellied black, and on another occasion, a copperhead snake popped up rather close to my 'snake.'

Judging by some of the comments here, you big 'girls' would be running away in mid stream and end up pissing yourselves. Hahaha.

Rumour has it those snakes quickly departed when they realised they were out-sized right

Went to wake my daughter this morning for school and she was slow to get up. Said look at the spider above your head and she saw the huge (hand-sized) huntsman sitting on her bedroom wall. Well, she couldn't have got out of bed faster.

As much as I hate spiders (and snakes), we removed the spider to the rear garden. It was too big to see it killed.
