MUD MAPS 2 - The rip off continues!

I purchased Mud Maps for $149. Mud maps was the new name for a product I purchased that was changed after some issues I don't even care about. Then they reduce the price to $99 or something which simply annoyed users that paid $149.

NOW they change their platform and want to charge an introductory price of $99. GIVE ME A BREAK! Money pinching arrogant %$#@%.

It is my pleasure to recommend HEMA! Don't pay anything for Mud Maps 1, 2 or any version. BUY HEMA.

I wish I had a crystal ball, I guess I will now be investing in the group that don't screw their existing customers over. To those that haven't bought either yet, learn from my mistakes.

PS, anyone know someone at HEMA that can score me a discount on a change over?

PS AJ120 has both and I believe he prefers HEMA. That's HEMA, the company that has NO track record of screwing their loyal cutomers!

Yeah I have both and think that Hema is a bit better. Where did you here about this new charge for mud maps? I haven't heard anything. I was actually using mudmaps earlier tonight doing some research.

Keep your eye open for itunes cards on sale MLC and buy some. I saw that someone here did that and got the hema app for about half the going rate.

I promote businesses that look after customers and treat them with respect like Total Traction Tyres and New-Pro tech. These guys treat their customers with respect and deserve to prosper because they do so.

However, I react equally as bad to any business that doesn't value their customer and basically want to prosper at my expense. I paid good money for a product and now they "support the product" but develop a different one. That is WRONG, and at my expense. F^%k them. They lose a customer and potentially thousands more as these posts stay forever! Thousands of new members and non members will see these posts and know Mud Maps screwed their customers. Hema will be voting me their number one supporter because frankly its impossible to suppress the truth in today's electronic world. Even if they get court orders making me remove the posts, caching means they will never disappear from the e-ether. Oh, and suppression orders require a mis-statement of fact which simply don't apply here!

Finally, if they change their minds and make it free, then I will post that here too, although I think there is a greater chance of AJ joining facebook

Hema is definitely the way to go. If I get control of the iPad when we're travelling, that's what I choose to use. It is completely nonsensical that we could be expected to pay twice for a product. Not gunna happen. I hope you put a comment on the App Store?

I am a business owner/operator myself and support and respect your passion for good product, honest service and decent warranty. Yes there are so many who don't respect their customers clearly forgetting they are the very reason they prosper. In retail you are face on with your customers but over the net so much is lost. Call me old fashion but I like to talk to the person selling the product.

Give them a call (if you haven't already) and voice your thoughts.

As for AJ joining Facebook hmm I cant comment there .

MLC - when did u buy your version of mud maps? If not recently (i.e. within a couple months) how long did you expect support for? Definitely, you expect support for the version you buy, but you can't expect free upgrades to newer platforms (you don't get free windows upgrades or MS office upgrades). Clarify the issue and exactly what you want to happen. Oh, and then go with OziExplorer :-)

I agree with MLC about MudMaps - "pay and pay again" seems to be their motto

Now use Hema and have deleted MudMap from my devices because of their attitude - and yes I contacted them about this. Perhaps its their lack of product planning but customers are burnt in the meantime.
