          Steve,

That is not good. Even if it is not you driving, people may recognise your Prado and think you were the dickhead driving it, not the mechanic, so you become tainted as a ratbag driver.

Quite a few years ago at Stewart Toyota, Sutherland, one of the young mechanics was caught by the Highway Patrol driving a customer's new Celica at 130 in a 60 zone past a school. At least the copper had the right idea after booking the mechanic by driving to Stewarts and informing the Service Manager, who sacked the mechanic on the spot.

I'm going to get the mods to delete this post only due to the fact it's not the bosses fault he didn't no how his mechanic was driving and flogging my car and who knows what other vehicles. At the end of the day it's his business and I wouldn't like to see him suffer because of one dic* head. I can assure you I got absolutely nothing from any of it except for an apology from him and he said he was extremely embarrassed about the situation and was going to investigate it further with the person but I doubt he will be sacked. If it was me I would have dragged him in infront of me to watch the video ask him for an explanation then sacked him. But due to privacy reasons he would not give me his name either but I did get the boss to sign my receipt saying vehicle was there from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Again only deleting as I looked at it if it was my business I would be pissed from a bad reputation by one moron working for him but again I certainly would be sacking him.... Cheers Steve

Hi there Daniel only sovereign bar on front. So does that mean they can pull a spacer out to drop it down if need be ?? He said to do 500k then come back in for a check and remeasure. He said the cv angles are perfect......Cheers steve

Steering is a bit light due to not having enough caster. And if 1 ring spacer was removed from the strut and it is a 10mm spacer, the front will come down 20mm.

LIke others have told me steve as i was over 800mm @ front with second hand springs with a spacer, 800mm is your max camber i do believe.

I just got new TD up front and they were bang on 800mm, after some off road tracks and a few km's they have dropped to 795mm and probably end up @ 790mm which is the sweet spot for me.

Hopefully you can put this to bed and get out and enjoy your lift mate

Same springs as I have and sort of the same strut and shock (Mine are 188L and 288L and don't have the 'd' is the 1 an L by any chance?). I have 32mm total in spacers with a steel T3 bar and no dual battery (ARB twin compressor sitting there and it's 9kg ish). I have polyairs in the back and the heights are 795 and 830 last time I measured. Reckon the front has too much spacer.

EDIT: OK obviously that is the different strut/shock for the 120.

Are you fair dinkum Steve ? I have known you for a while on the forum and this seems like a big backdown.. Bugger the pricks, if they are flogging the piss out of customers cars and getting away with it, they friggin need to be named publicly. Just letting them get away with this is crap.

If old mate is so 'sorry' about this shit, let him fix the height issue on your car for free.. He's sounding like a quick talking business owner that's just covering his arse.. Let him hurt a little, it would serve to remind him of his future responsibilities in running a business, providing a service and profiting handsomely from it.... In business sometimes you have to hurt abit to learn...
