  • An ARB Bull Bar is Born

Hi guys, thought some of you may be interested to see what goes into manufacturing an ARB bar. From a flat sheet of steel, right through every stage of the manufacturing process, including fitting.

Shot entirely on GoPro, including shots inside some of the machinery, the footage is pretty amazing... even if I do say so myself.

    Cheers, Sam.

            Great vid.

Any chance of some info regarding the actual compliance of ARB bull bars? Including airbag and ADR's?

After doing the factory tour earlier this year, it is great to be able to show others what I had seen and talked about.

You could read the sticker on your bar

I guess I could - if it was there. (I mean the sticker. The bar is still on the car)

Last time I checked a nice sticker doesn't actually satisfy compliance and regulations, etc. Somehow I reckon PC Plod won't be satisfied.

Documented proof is that which I seek. Not a claim on a website or sticker.

Actually the sticker does satisfy the compliance issue so long as it has the correct information, which no doubt ARB's does. I have just been through all this for my rear bar!

Actually the compliance sticker is the proof as it is required by the ADR...

Great video Sam. Would be interested in the process you go through when a new model is released (ie facelifted Prado with new front bumper design).

Does ARB receive details drawings from Toyota ahead of/at launch so you can design mods to existing bar asap. How long until you have a revised bar to suit the new model?
