I am seeing a lot of new accounts created with 1 post as soon as the account is created asking a random question. I am wondering if these are 'shadow' accounts being created to potentially abuse the reputation system...
I am thinking if that is all they have in their life then it is pretty sad..... good luck to em.

?? What the, I didn't know it was a game here where points lead to a winner? Actually I didn't know there was a 'points' system for helping people out, do they owe me something if I do? I'm very happy with the size of my appendage, no need to offer boost in a form of a 'big DXXK' contest. BS, totally self indulgent crap IMHO, that is NOT what PP 'should be' all about.
Try Battlefield 1942 if you want a points based system!!
We are all winners if we learn something that helps us save money and time with out Prados, that to me is the desired outcome. I'll pick my winner from all those that help me acheive this goal, but I only pay in Beer or Wine, NOT Prado Points!!
Rules and procedures should be reserved for the workplace where safety takes priority over a persons upbringing, education, and training essentially replacing that persons need to use the life skill called 'common sense'.
Real world, common sense is an essential day to day requirement, where rules are minimal or no existent this skill provides direction and allows freedom of movement within perceived boundaries.
Surely we as grown men and women to not need yet another world where everything is written in black and white, consisting of clear and unambiguous phases directing action and expectation?
a reputation system for a forum would therefore reflect the informative nature of a post to thread title in addressing the concerns or questions initially raised.
a simple concept, easily abused for personal gain and self propagation of a perceived status amongst ones peers.
so the question remains, do we men and women really need more rules? Or do we have the ability to self regulate our own actions?
Everyone acts with impunity unless they are held accountable.

I approved of your post hope you don't mind... lol
Agree, with what you have said, so much emphasis on doing something because you might get something out of it. Oh I might reply to this thread with a nice answer because some one is going to approve of what I said and I'll gain points because of it. OR I don't like what that person said so i'll disapprove of it.
I just went and looked at my "points" lol.. didn't even know someone had given me a bad rap over a comment I made.

Funny thing is, before certain people started using the rep system somewhat unethically, there was no issues..
If any of you don't want to use the rep system, then don't.
Actually that used a a point to show HOW the rep system should work when used respectfully by the masses for its intended meaning.
Not how it was being abused by some current & former members.
sorta like fightclub?? First rule of pp, don't talk about reputation points??
lmfao.
