  • Looking for a nipple

That got your attention didn't it

I want to convert my winches with a breather pipe but can't a suitable nipple for the hose.
I was thinking a John Guest type push fit but can only find the plastic versions which might melt.

What have you guys used for this? (and where do I get one)

    cheers

No reason why you cannot use the high temperature poly tubing that is around or if you are really concerned then run copper tube for a few hundred mm and then join to poly.

You can get an idea of what fittings and hose is available from these guys site:

    http://www.fittingsexpress.com.au/

Doesn't specify temperature capability so you might need to call your local supplier or fittings express do post stuff and their prices are pretty good usually.

      Perfect, thanks.
Not worried about the hose temp, just where the winch body temp versus the fitting.
This is the sort of thing I wanted but couldn't find.

I need more information, did you want large, small, dark, light, with or without grip (you know, the braille type lumps).

Actually, do you know why they braille type nodes are there? A blind mate of mine says they say "suck here".

Metric was available so you should be right. Possible cost would be around the $13 mark if I remember correctly.
