Purchased a 2010 ZR with 20,000km on the clock is like brand new and found it on carsales, the add is still there and price was right much below new pricing albeit 3 years old, the mileage is genuine.

Had the vehicle inspected and passed with flying colours, roofracks are the 1st on my list and will pick up today, a trip to ARB for a Sahara bar pricing and a tow bar, that should keep the bank account empty for a while.

wonder why? is it because sales are much lower? pajero's were discontinued also.

Wilco well done on your purchase. Good luck with modding it. The shorty will challenge you in some regards. Not a lot of companies want to help. I am absolutely happy as with mine. Need lots more money to finish it but that's the fun of the build. What to do next. What item do you need/want before some other shiny thing. Welcome to the shorty club.

Got the ZR and am sooo happy, my last vehicle was a 2011 Hilux and there is nooooo comparison. Looking forward to ordering an ARB Sahara bar and a HR tow bar, that will be it for a while, after a while I will be seeking some good rims and tyres and love the vehicle called EXHILER8 and would love that look, but will need to wear out the existing tyres first.

Hello Geert, looked up your rig and I am impressed with the build, not real sure on the home made mud flaps .... lol. I do like the wheels and tyres the rig looks great, I also note the painted front centre grill, looks good.

I have had my 3 Door SX for 3 1/2 years & love it. We tow a Caravan which is about 2000kg without any issues .. not much tail wagging going on either. We had it in the bush just 2 weeks after taking it off the showroom floor & haven't looked back. Just got back from a 7 month trip from Melbourne to Cape York n back with no issues at all from the shorty. If you have any questions I am happy to help. Good luck in your purchase

We travelled a bit around NSW first .. Dubbo, Coonabarabran, Lightning Ridge, Inverell then into Qld. Texas, Emerald, Lake Elphinstone, Townsville, Charters Towers etc worked up to Lakeland ( where we left the caravan & tented for 3 weeks ) Went up the O.T.T as far as Fruit bat Falls then right up to the Tip. Did Chiili Beach, Weipa, Seisha etc. was a mind blowing trip & one I will never forget. Caravan had 2 blowouts & some minor brake issues apart from that all good.
Development road was far too corrigated to take the van.

the other day, i folded down the rear seats, put my two person bed into the prado and drove off with no hitchup. i couldn't do it in hilux pickup, only in five door prado. bench seats folded, this thing is better than the crew cab when it comes to capacity...
two door prado, probably good for atomic family and good rampover angle. maybe better fuel economy...
