  • WHEEL NUTS for STEEL Rims- Where's the best place to get some from?

    Guys.....

I've got to get a complete set of Wheel Nuts for my Steel Rims for my 150's, where would be the best place/price to get them from?

The Thread is a 12mm x 1.5 pitch, I'm assuming that ALL Prados are the same?

    cheers....
    Rob

I"d imagine Supercheap, Autopro or the like would have wheel nuts to suit .

Any tyre place should have them. From memory when I went to get some for the steel rims for my 120 they were the same as Commondore steel nuts...

I'm assuming they should be Steel ? There's a lot of Alloy made Wheel Nuts..... Would these be any good on a 4WD ??

Steel. Mind you steel is an alloy. Of iron. But definitely steel wheel nuts.

What length Wheel Nut should I be looking at ? Most I've seen are about 35mm in length. Not sure if that's thread length or overall length though

Dunno, for my steel wheels I bought open nuts. Actually, I may still have them in the garage and have no need for them as I have alloy wheels now. I'll go check.

Edit - I must be getting old, I could have sworn they were open nuts. Inside depth is 30mm so 35mm should be fine. I have 15 of these.

Measure your original stud as they are all the same stud!

EG: The stud on the 120 series & 150 series (Steel rim & alloy) Are both the same part number: 90942-02079

The total hight of the OEM Nut for a Steel/Metal rim is 33mm

                            Cheers
