Kangaroo must have been to left of screen since he swerved right, at least that's what he told the cops! Looks like he was going way too fast, he was lucky nothing worse happened.

There was no kangaroo. The car was sliding before he started working the steering wheel. I'd say only running in 2 wheel drive by the look of it. Speed also a factor. Probably driven that road a hundred times or more before. Over confidence. Convenient excuse the old kangaroo who conveniently managed to hop away. Yeah, right.

Those buggers cause more accidents than inattention, alcohol or speeding put together... God knows how they always seem to get away with it.

He worked the wheel all wrong once it stepped out. I know its easy to say in hindsight, but with the right technique he could have avoided the vehicle having a lie down.

Assume that the front right tyre rolled off in the crash, wonder what pressure it was at.

Great to see they both got away ok.

A roo hit the side of my troopy a few days ago out near Warburton. He ran into me and his skull has left a little indentation on the lower edge of the passenger door. No way was I going to swerve for anything smaller than a camel.

Driving dirt roads daily I must admit I probably go way to quick. After watching this ill definitely be taking a bit more care specially with my little boy in the car. That happened extremely easy. Having said that, VSC would have kicked in on the prado and I reckon it has saved me a few times from the back end doing exactly that - scary stuff.

Doodle and his kid are fortunate that somebody (like you or me) wasn't coming around the bend in the opposite direction.

way too fast for the road conditions (or his skill), once it goes you have bugger all time to react. Very lucky both to come out of it so well. Lucky there wasn't a ditch to roll into as well or could have been a lot worse.

                              Re: Kangaroo's

They probably put down road spikes to catch people out the sneaky buggers
