Sorry for the delay, I don't have the car with me at the moment but I've got some pictures from just after the install. Hopefully these will be enough to give you a good idea.

Do you think those brackets will stay strong with the weight of the light bar over corrugations?

I was originally looking at those brackets but wasn't sure on their strength…….

Time will tell, and it was something I did consider. I came to the conclusion that people run large UHF antennas from those brackets, even sand flags, both which have more movement. Having regard to the light bar, the weight is distributed between 2 brackets, so it should be sufficient. Short of welding 2 forward facing brackets to the bar then repainting (etc) there are not many other options.

Here's a couple of photos of my light bar installed, I welded a couple of tabs onto of the bar and tapped the thread into them, Had to cut the mounting brackets that came with the light to fit in the gap in the bar….. Does not stick out too far and sits there nice…. Feels solid as a rock so only time will tell i guess.

Dumb question maybe, but do you have to disconnect the battery when welding the tabs on ?? ....Cheers Steve
