I had to convince the wife for the most part but then in the end she convinced me into the one she wanted. All good. It's a great camper.
    Enjoy your purchase

I think comfort and ease of setup and pack up are 2 very important factors, right along with offroad ability.
Be wary of buying second hand if you are unsure what you are really looking at. A lot of these are for sale for a reason, some genuine and some not.
I would be inclined to have a good look around at local dealers and see what you can get for your money on a new setup.A lot of people bag out the imported trailers just because they are made in China. Some of them are actually quite good and reasonable priced when compared to so called locally made. As previously mentioned in earlier posts, canvas quality is what you need to take a good look at. If unsure, try to take along someone who has had at least some experience with campers to give their opinion, although this can sometimes be impossible. We recently upgraded from a soft floor to a hard floor camper for 2 main reasons.
The first was quick and easy setup. The second and main reason was to elevate our 2 kids off the ground when sleeping. Sure they had camp stretchers and warm sleeping bags, but being so close to the wet ground (we always seem to be setting up on wet ground) is not fun, especially if the kids already have a cold.
Another point to consider is storage space, and a soft floor camper wins hands down in this department, which is why we bought a large hard floor camper when we upgraded, as the smaller ones had minimal storage space.

          Good luck.

That looks real nice MLC. Shame there's no photos of it from the outside when it's popped up.

I picked up a 2008 ulti setup for a prado a few months ago for $29k. It had done 2 outback trips to the NT and the Kimberley and a few weekends away at Tamworth since new. I think I got lucky :-)
There's a 2007 one on the Ulti forum at the moment for $43k

Almost the same as the Xtrac apart from colour.

That's a lot of coin to fork out just so you can set up and pack up quicker than us Clear!

Might have to look at making our new one fully automated setup and pack up.

                      Cheers Andrew

Prado point did the work for me boys. lol
I finally picked one. Went for a second hand Tru Blu. Its all the way down in Melbourne. So in 2 weeks I have a bit of a road trip on my hands.
Seeing as I couldn't view it myself been in Darwin I got a mate to view it for me. He knows Camper Trailers. He rang me and said "if u don't buy it, I will". Sold!!!
On the plus side. I will be in Melbourne for Grand Final weekend. Pity the Sainters aren't there.......

                            Cheers
