    It's called 'built in technical obsolescence'. It been happening since manufacturers realised that there was no point in making things that last for ages as then people don't buy more. Build in a lifespan and you are forcing a new purchase

    Why do you think all the iPhones have a battery that lasts 700-800 charge cycles? Because the release schedule for the new phone is every two years. Charge your phone once a day, and your battery will be fried just in time for the new model to come out

        I know a bloke here just put his 80 series with the factory TD motor in it on the market................... got me thinking! Don't think I have a snowballs chance in hell of getting it past SWMBO though.
