New Prado V's Buffalo - NT

Hi all

Just grabbed these images from a friend who lives in the NT, interesting looking Prado Altitude..

People in the vehicle were okay, the Buffalo didn't survive. Be careful out there people, these things can happen to anyone!

Says a lot for modern crumple zones and saftey equipment. Not sure I'd want to try it out though

Wow. I never worked for the emergency services and never will, they must see a bit of this. The Occupants are very lucky to walk away. X2 to ^.Says a lot about the design of new 4wd's v's Roothy's generation vehicles.

I'm pleased the occupants were ok. This is what years of development brings a totalled vehicle but passengers who survive. The vehicle can be easily replaced.

Is anyone else seriously impressed? That's a massive hit, sure the car is a write off, but it looks to have taken it extremely well. Glad they are all okay, minus the buffalo.

Not saying the vehicle was doing the posted speed limit in this accident but you can do 130 kmh on that stretch of highway.

I spend a few years up there you see this regularly!

Even with a bull bar the front end would still be a mess. I'm guessing it's an easy complete write off for the insurer.

Nah.... I reckon with a decent bull bar the front end would look better than how it is now.
Lucky I decided to install a deluxe bull bar instead of a Sahara Bar.

Kangaroos and wild pigs are a pest on our roads, they just run straight out on the roads without looking.

yep, definitely very impressed. the cabin seems not to have any noticeable deformity like a creased roofline. Never thought much of the Prado's real safety credentials until i've seen these pics.
