    Hey R2D2,

Exact release day is still to be determined. We are at the whims of shipping at the moment.

As for price, the one pictured is our deluxe commercial bar and will be $1295. We'll also have a commercial for $1125 and a protector for $1485.

Keep an eye out on FB for the release. Thats where it's first listed.

    Cheers,

    Matt

Thanks for confirming Matt, hopefully I can bash out the dings on the front plate. The round plastic plugs in it are a bit wrecked though, don't suppose these are available as a spare part?

Let me have a look into it for you mate. Have you got some pics of them, just so I can confirm which ones you mean?

Yes Matt, it's the 2 that sit above the folded part of the plate in this pic :-

They don't look that good at the moment, the plate is all bent along the fold.

I don't have any bar work from Ironman but I have allot of other kit like the snorkel, bash plates, winch, fridge and a few other bits and pieces mostly all bought a few years back. Only thing that failed was the wireless fridge thermometer but that could well have been when a few cans exploded in the fridge! Anyway, If any bar passes Australian standards, ticks the boxes on price and your happy with the look then I say go for it. I think you will find it will do the same job as the ARB variant. And if its worth anything, my snorkel has not had any issues with fading, living most of it life up in the Broome sun. Funny enough the Maxtrax are fading more than most but no complaints considering they do advise this will happen.

If anyone is OCD on fading plastics I suggest rubbing a coat of 303 Aerospace Protectant over it. Its what is used to prevent fading on kayaks.

            Cheers,

I put an Ironman bar on the 90 as it was available, and the ARB bar was at least a 6 week wait and i'm impatient :P
I have nose-dived the ground coming down a steep slope. It made the bar pivot and the wings pushed up into the flares making them pop of the studs.
The bar has also collected a roo on the Stuart Hwy doing about 90kph and all that happened was a cracked bump stop (i think that's what it's called)
So 6 years later, the welds are all good, no signs of rust except for where i drilled a few extra holes for brackets and lights. Even those spots are not excessive.

And a big +1 for Aerospace 303. I use it on all the interior surfaces and last time i did it, i got rid of all signs of dust and looked awesome.... then i went for a drive. Not doing that again til i get back to Adelaide

              Cheers
              John

                Hey Fido,

For some reason my reply I posted yesterday hasn't appeared.

In answer, no we don't stock them as a spare part, but if you do need a replacement let me know and I'll see what I can do to chase some for you.

These grommets are used for two different purposes, depending on application. Some are used as vibration suppressors when sandwiched between plates, others are used to fill access holes. The plugs to fill access holes are not essential - which is what these ones are.

                Cheers,

                Matt

                  Matt (Ironman 4x4),
We had some discussions last year regarding the fitting of recovery points on a 120 series with an Ironman bar fitted and couldn't find a resolution.

After the post on here from Jusso regarding fitting the 150 series recovery points with an ARB Bar I have done some more research and sized up the 150 points and they will fit... Have purchased a set but now have to remove the bar to fit the nuts inside the chassis rail

If you, or anyone else at Ironman, get the same enquiry you can now give them an answer as apparently the chassis's on the 120, 150 and FJ Cruisers are identical.

Trying to get away as much as we can with the 2003 GLX 120 Series Prado towing the Jayco Expanda or 5.3 Stacer Seamaster/Merc 90HP.
The Prado build up is in process

                    Confirmed

Thanks to Jusso for the heads up to try sizing the 150 series recovery points.
Can now confirm that they definitely do fit the 120 with an Ironman Bar

Thanks Matt, will do once I've had a chance to take the plate off for some percussive maintenance. Just curious as to what the access holes are for given their location.
