Very simple. You need the appropriate crimps and tools though. Generic large plastic battery box. I bought 12V sockets from Narva. These are conventional spade fitting and I used 6mm2 twin core. Same wire for the Anderson plug and each with 8mm ring terminals at the other end connected to the battery through a fuse. The BCDC wiring is 10mm2 so I used that sized wire to wire the input, changeover relay (Britax with 9.5mm spade terminals for 30, 87 and 87A for which you can get terminals to suit 10mm2 wire) and input Anderson plugs. Cable from the main battery was fused with a 30A manual circuit breaker and then 13mm2 cable to the input Anderson plug. Triggering the BCDC either with a separate wire from something running accessories on (a few choices in the back of a Prado) or the main feed is wired through an SBi12.

Be careful, some of the cheaper battery boxes can be prone to cracking when a big heavy agm battery is fitted. I have done a few of these for customers and they are very happy with them. The last one I did had a panel mount ctek plug on the lid, easy to plug the charger into it and basically fool proof. Couple that with a Anderson plug, cig/acc plug and Engels plug and just about every thing is covered[LEFT]Silver 150 Facelift

Hmmm. Think I might just make one. This is close to what I had in mind. The price is not bad once you factor in the cost of all the components. I'm not keen on the idea of a single 30A auto reset breaker for all those outlets (let alone the fact that it's auto reset) and I know I can do a neater job than that.
I'd be likely to put in:- Voltage Meter
- 2x Accessory Plug
- 1x Engel Socket
- 2x Dual USB sockets
- 2x LED Lights to illuminate the immediate area
- Manual Reset Breakers to suit
- ~8mm lugs for charging
If I was going to mount an Anderson plug, it'd be inside the cover, with a cutout to connect it's mate (or inside another small box attached to the main box). I always cringe when I see them mounted with exposed wires - especially with the current they're designed to handle and some of the dodgy terminations I've seen people do.

I found that battery being sold for around the $340 mark anyway, so the box effectively free. I also bought a double USB plug to have a go at 12V wiring for the first time, so it will have 24V socket (which the ARB fridge can use), 12V cig plug and double usb. More than enough!

I have had sucess with the bainbridge technologies box, appears better than the supercheap style boxes. Or build one out of plywood, seen that done with a hinged lid with a latch, and it would be alot more durable if well built.[LEFT]Silver 150 Facelift

When I look at your quite superb and professional photos mjorandum, I cannot take my eyes off the gap between the front seat back and the seat bottom. In my current car, adjustable because the seats slide. I wonder if I place the seats forward a bit with just enough space for thin battery ....
And I suspect for a lot of battery boxes, some thin Litho batteries inside a fibreglass box, with fittings, I could make a retail product.
For me, its rarely I'd have someone behind the driver's seat. Why not put a thin Lithium setup their? And they are so light, plus they don't have sulphurisation issues, plus they recharge very quickly if you have the right setup. Their problem is the electronics to manage the cells ... there are several though that have all that built in. I wonder how much power you need if it can be recharged super quickly from the motor, something Lithiums can do?
Just being stupid and thinking laterally ... the new Lexus RAV hybrid smaller SUV has Lithiums now ... in lots of ways I like 'em more.
