First off... MLC, no... SWMBO has not kicked me out so you'll have to think of some other jokes haha.
In our workshop I've found myself doing more and more with fibreglass. But we are not setup for the dust extraction and so I do most of it outside but that's becoming a pain in the arse as everything is done on saw horses or by laying a board on the forks of the forklift. But we don't have the room inside to dedicate to fibreglassing. So I figure I need a temporary room that I can use with some extraction fans. Something I can setup and take down within a reasonable time frame. I think 30 minutes max.
I've got two thoughts...
1. A cloth gazebo with heavy curtain attachable walls that I can roll a workbench into, suspend some lighting and some hoses and fans...
Easy enough but i dont think it'll last long. Maybe 6 months before it starts falling apart.
2. Partition walls on castors that can lock together to create a three side room with the fourth wall being heavy canvas split down the middle for easy entry and exit.
Not too bad, don't think it would be too expensive and i could fairly easily build extra partitions to change the shape and size... for instance if i wanted it big enough to put a whole car inside.
I know none of these two ideas will offer 100% dust containment but that's not a major concern. I think it's safe to say that whatever doesn't get extracted will land on the floor and can be swept/vacced at a later date. Anything else would just be minor that I'm not concerned about. Besides, if it was an issue... i could always run around the seams with some gaffa/duct tape.
So... any other options? Or thoughts on plans and designs for my current ideas.... pros and cons I haven't thought of?
Partition locking mechanisms?
Lightweight, cheap and non-structural wall material... ply, mdf or anything else?
Ears are open and I'm listening!
