I have been in quite a few countries in the last few years and water is never more than $1AU a litre but often a lot lot less.

Coles sells water for about 90 cents a litre for their brand.

Around SE suburbs in Melbourne this morning the cheapest diesel I saw was $1.11 at BP but I think it was NOT Ultimate.

i filled up today at BP with Ultimate diesel for 99.9c

still would like to know how that get divied up
what is the cost of the fuel delivered?
what is the federal tax ?
what is the state tax?
what is the GST

9mths ago a barrel of oil was $100+
now under $30 a barrel

i will find out what the price of fuel is from my mates in the US

someone is making some money for nothing !!

just have a think about what goes into making 1L of fuel
drilling rig, lots of rig workers paid heaps, piping or shipping it to shore, refining it, storing it, transporting it, providing servo's to hold & pump it

Out of your buck, about 10 gst, over 50 is other taxes, 40, is what it could cost without taxes.
Delivery varies, usually under 1 cent a litre.
Further away, a few cents a litre. Obviously remote is a lot more. Plenty more cream on top too I'm sure

There wags a servo in Brisbane that put a board out they front years ago when petrol first got up near a dollar a litre. It displayed the cost of the product (about 35cents) and all the taxes and excise etc was over 60 cents. They govt of. The day made them take it down because supposedly it was misrepresenting the costs to the motoroist

Filled up both tanks today in Ballarat for 96 cents a litre. Was a Metro (BP??) outlet. Only cost about $114 from almost completely empty. Cheapest fill up since I have owned the Prado.

Try this site, provides fuel prices for every type around the country. Relies on people updating the site with prices. I been using for the past few months and I have found it to be reliable.

We're currently on holiday in NZ. In Auckland we saw diesel at 81.9 c/litre but ULP is up around $1.70/litre.
