I always have mine on. Granted it's easy to do in the GXL as you just leave the switch on and they come on/off with the ignition.
Only bad thing is when I flash someone with my high beams I've often let the arm thing go a bit hard and it flicks onto permanent high and I'm driving around with 450w of LED's shining at people.Comment

Always ON driving on country roads.
Though it did not help a few days ago driving around Jervis Bay.
A f**kwit driving a 120 Prado, towing a camper trailer in the opposite direction, was approaching a push bike, so instead of slowing down, he maintained the same speed, swerved around the bike and about a metre across double unbroken centre lines towards me. I had to brake rather heavily to avoid a head-on collision. If I did not have some friends in my Prado, I might have followed the Prado to the campsite and had a discussion with the dickhead driver.Comment

Always on -- Like others I now have a 150 with the lights always on anyway, but growing up in the country I can assure you lights on is the way to go !Comment
