  • Roadsafe recovery points with ARB UVP? 150.

    Hi guys,

Can anyone confirm for me if you can fit the pair of Roadsafe recovery points with the ARB under vehicle protection on a Prado 150? (T3.0D)

Haven't been able to find a clear picture either way.

ARB wasn;t sure over the phone either, would save me a day trip to the store to check.

    Many thanks.

Cant confirm 100% but I would be very surprised if they weren't compatible as I have Tin's UVP's which cover more then the ARB UVP and I have the Roadsafe points fitted. In addition ARB originally quoted me on their UVP with the roadsafe points.

Sorry - couldn't help. Just extra info.
Are you doing the installation by yourself?
I was told by ARB Moorebank - they won't install third party product. So, I'm stuck with a pair of road safe recovery point.

        Hi,

I have the ARB protection on a 150 3.0 D (2013) and fitted the roadsafe recovery points afterwards myself without any problems.
They don't share any fastening points and is well clear from the Underbody protection.

          Lski - thanks mate.

fatty boy - Ideally no, I'm not confident in doing so. I don't know about Moorebank but I spoke to my local ARB store and asked about them fitting the recovery points at the same time they installed the UVP and while he didn't know if they'd fit off the top of his head he said I was welcome to bring them in and they'd take a look.

martinpsa - perfect mate, thanks. Mine is a 2010 but should still be the same as the 2013 in that regard I think.

I don't think they'd not fit if that makes sense. The roadsafe points are a pretty straightforward design and my dads arb recovery points mount in the same place, I'd assume with the same clearances, but a slightly different design where the shackle holes are. The mounting would be the same.

Hey mate did you have to remove your bullbar to fit those recovery points?

                  Hey Arien,

Any chance you know the topic to link? I've searched and find commentary on the points but not the instructions you're talking about.

If I had something step by step to follow I'd be more inclined to give to give it a crack. Problem with the provided "instructions" is they just show a photo of installed points and basically say "should be like this".
