Well the Vico I bought with the group buy has performed flawlessly. I highly recommend it.

I liked the lack of GPS - so, less evidence of my speed if it became an issue.

Sandisk Extreme and Samsung Pro. Too fast and they heat up the device and you get blocking. Those and Sandisk Ultra seem to work, but die after a while. Reformatting them every so often in the new app seems to help.

Stick with Transcend or Lexar or the Blackvue own brand

That's the one I'm thinking of running as a rear dashcam, or in my wife's car

??? Only if you want to use the Blackvue Cloud? Not needed for day to day operation

We run the Blackvue DR650 Fr & Rr HD cams with the Power magic pro box for recording while parked. Really quality unit. Been in the car for almost two years now, no issues at all. You do get what you pay for. The app is simple and quick to use with the camera's Wifi, but you can also just put the SD card into your PC to download and view. It also takes great footage while your 4wdriving too obviously!

You can take the sd card out of a Blackvue and plug it in to a PC. Camera can also be setup via the free pc/Mac app too. No need for the wifi or a smartphone at all

I not seen any that use WIfi. (And yes I'm quite experienced in said game).

If looking for a single camera with best bang for buck I would look at the Dteg Smarty BX1500 or if you want to spend more money the Blackvue range.

Most of the mainstream cameras now have parking mode as a standard (Including the 2 above)
Well there you go! I learn something every day! Thanks for clearing that up :-)
