Would these changes be effecting adding images to posts? I just get an error message everytime I want to submit a post with an image link in it.

another forum i frequent has done away with post numbers too. just has member levels, gold silver bronze ect
they also have a thanks button, which stops a lot a "thank you" style posts, apparntly this alone cut down on there bandwith massivly1st 2005 V6 auto in white.
2nd 2008 D4D auto in charcoal

Not quite related but has something happened either to the number of posts per page or have a heap been bumped? I just noticed the Spot the Spot thread had dropped from about 108 pages down to only 82. I think I saw a few other threads like this as well but not real sure what the length of these used to be in pages.

Before you do a post 'count' cull, perhaps you can also do a cull of non contributing members? IMHO the post count is irrelevant... but I would hate to see strict interpretation of posting rules to prevent some of the posts that are added. While this is a Prado enthusiasts forum, some of the side banter and (humourous) commentary in amongst all the threads makes it so much more enjoyable and sociable. The social and friendly atmosphere of this forum is what makes it so great... and of course the information and experience that can also be accessed quickly and easily just tops it all off. Whatever changes are made, don't ever let this change!
I agree with JamesC and make another observation - there's also about 189 single post threads dating back to August 2006 that might also perhaps be deleted.
