Hi all, after a bit of advice.
We are the proud custodians and regular users of an early 80's Cub Campo matic camper trailer. It has been in my family since new and in top condition due to always being garaged at home and strict rules if ever we take it away.
We are now a family of four and always contemplating updating (every camping show anyway). This usually lasts a few days till i invariably turn my thoughts to "doing up the old one." This is where i am at now, again.
The mods will include Bigger wheels, possibly to match tow vehicle but this may be too extreme but would look pretty rad (currently 10" alloys), suspension upgrade to take more weight, strengthened draw bar ( have ideas about a telescopic section to allow rear door access to a Prado), Fitting on the rear for bike rack and maybe storage box on "a" frame. If you put all these ideas together it would appear i need a chassis of some sort.
If anyone has had a similar vision i would be really keen to share ideas good or bad. Anyone know a good trailer fabricator in sydney. Thanks.
