Calling All Hands - I need your help for a banner design.

Okay folks, the good people at MAXTRAX who are sponsoring our annual GTG this year are providing us with a camp ground banner to be used not only at this GTG but for GTGers in years to come. However I need someone with graphic design abilities to come up with the artwork for the banner which will be approximately 5 metres X 1metre in size. The wording for the banner is pretty straight forward it will read - " PradoPoint.com Annual Get Together" and will have in smaller writing "Proudly sponsored by MAXTRAX." That leaves us with quite a bit of blank vinyl to place artwork on and I do want this to be as spiffy as possible. So put your thinking caps on and post up your designs in this thread. I think we should go for the action and family thing but all designs will be considered.

So this explains the abundance of Maxtrax logos in signatures everywhere (Phil, Matt and Paul for a start).

Okay so no takers for this then, I guess we will have to leave it up to a third party to design it for us and hope for the best.

Ok this is my daughters first effort, she only has access to paint but has a few ideas to go with it. If you like the ideas I have some better software at work that I can tweak things with.

She wants the background to be a faded Australian landscape (most likely Ayers rock)

The two prados are just placeholders as those images are already masked they fitted on easily. Ideally she wants a decked out 90 series and a decked out 120. My suggestion was for decked out cartoon style prado with the family hanging out of it though I do not have the talent to do it.




Anyway if you like the concept I should be able to work on it a bit more tomorrow with better software. Any volunteers with photo's of their 90 or 120 series

Ideally I would love to use pictures of peoples rigs from the site but I will need photos with a consistant back ground.

Wow. That looks, um, broken.

I cant see the image but can see the thumbnail on your Photo Bucket site.

That is coming along nicely.

The nudge bar looks a little ordinary on the 120... imho. Maybe a members rig (Joey's comes to mind ) could replace that. I like the idea of presenting what is possible as opposed to what is ordinary... if you get my drift.

The words are simple and descriptive. I like that.

One thought springs to mind... As we have a GTG each year with the same banner, perhaps we can set some room aside on the banner for each GTG. A bit like those perpetual trophies. E.g.

2009 - Central Australia
2010 - ....
2011 - ....
etc.

Okay now we are getting somewhere, I like the revised look Neil. Although my only concern is making it too specific a region if you know what I mean? I am thinking that we start at one side in the Red Centre then go through a morph to rainforest and then morph again to a beach view.

I also like the idea of using Joey's rig and a beefed up 90 series, maybe Yota's or someone like that?

I see WBY1 has the same idea with the 90 and 120 series.

I had thought about this too LFaR, I guess we could do the initial banner with the years like you have shown and then it would be a case of adding the destinations in vinyl lettering in subsequent years.

Yep thats fine although I dont think this one will fit Mavs final cut, as long as a 90s gets in there I wont be making a fuss.

Ha yeah, oh well. Morphing is beyond my and Paint's design capabilities.
