Need hints to get a roof rack now, any help??
For me, getting the rack was pretty painless. My mother-in-law loves the great outdoors and when she comes to visit us from overseas, we intend to take her out to places like Flinders.
Are you going to put mum in law on the roof :!: :!: :!:

I like to start talking about it early, and as time passes ramp it up.I find it best to bring these things up when we are driving (usually long distances), at least she cant escape!
I too use this technique to great effect - also, if you mention it while being in the car, she can picture it much better.
And GDS - I was thinking the exact same thing! Mother-in-law on the roof rack like granny from the Beverly Hillbillies! Hahaha!

Maybe we need to learn more "woman" speak.
Refer to tyres as "shoes" ($300 for a shoe is very reasonable, and you can never have too many for different outings)
A snorkel is just eyeliner for the windscreen
We just have to "accessorise"
Does my bum look big in these seatcovers?
Dual batteries means we can always use the hairdryer no matter where we are
Spots lights are "bling"
Raised skirts are "in" this year

Re: Ways to persuade your other half for a new Prado accessory
hi,
I do not smoke, do not drink, do not gamble.
Pretty boring life by some, so the prado comes into the
equation to make life ineteresting...(offroading, camping, secluded beaches, away from the crowds...fro these
we ned the prado....not just for me but for the whole family.
This is my formula:
non smoker = 12 a packx7x52 = $4368.00
non drinker = 30 for alcohol x 52 = $1560.00
non gambler = 50 average gamblig x 52 = 2600.00
TOTAL = $8528.00 saving towards family's budget.
But a man needs an addiction. THE PRADO.
SO my arguement is pretty strong when it comes to some mods (logical ofcourse)
Re: Ways to persuade your other half for a new Prado accessory
Case I used on the missus for the lift:
Me: <looking underneath the car all serious> "I noticed the suspension was looking a bit sagged this morning hun..." Missus: "Oh yeah" Me: "...must be the k's we did on the car and the fact that it has the bullbar and all the other accessories that has fatigued them over time" Missus: "So what does that mean?" Me: "Might have to take it to ARB and see if they need replacing." Missus: "Ok, you take the car there often, they seem to know what they are doing" Me: "Yeah they do, I'll make a booking some time this week" Missus: "Ok"
Now to find a good reason why it seems harder to jump into the Prado when the lift gets done!
