Me: "Might have to take it to ARB and see if they need replacing."
Missus: "Ok, you take the car there often, they seem to know what they are doing"
Me: "Yeah they do, I'll make a booking some time this week"
      Missus: "Ok"

Now to find a good reason why it seems harder to jump into the Prado when the lift gets done!
"Yeah its a bit higher, the springs were squashed with all the load we have been carrying, so they replaced them."

Persuade? It ain't so bad sleeping in the dog house for a night if you have what you want

After a recent trip and my wife experiencing a flat in no man's land she suddenly feels it would be a good idea to get some MTZ's

Also acquired a fridge by her recommendation after she thought about camping for 3 weeks.

          Confuse them with science 8)

You just another Bxx!!*y hand bag that cost $140-!! How many handbags do have and use

          Say you use 5- that's $700- but you have 10 - that's 1400-.

Simple maths - your wasting $700- by not using the other 5

The Prado needs a set of Spot Lights- I get the pair for about $700-. Thats 2 for the price of 1.

I will be using both of they so I will be saving $700-.

They are a good safety feature for nothing- Do you understand

After I get the lights fitted I will have to think up something else for the Snorkel 8) 8)

            The keyword is "FAMILY"

We are a FAMILY. We do things together as a FAMILY.
We go camping as a FAMILY
We have to be safe and comfortable so we
need to make things better (prado) to go
there and come back safe as a FAMILY.
Everything we do is for the better of the FAMILY.

I usually start of with you owe me x amount and she says what did we buy this time (we split cost 50/50 or there abouts), has worked for the last 16 years

Well Tuesday after the Goolwa Beach get together, The darling Wife rang to say she had been talking to ARB Regency Park about a Side Awning and had got a pretty good quote.
Looks like the Prado will be getting a veranda for Christmas.
Thanks "sapradogxl" for the demonstration on the beach.

You guys wont believe this one.....(I couldn't either!)

Usually I hear: "What on earth do you need that for?" or "Don't you want to live in a nice house? We're supposed to be saving for renovations."

                    A few weeks ago:

Missus: (7:30am saturday morning) "You need to wake up so we can pick up [my brother] from the airport."
Me: "Honey, I'm really hungover after after those drinks with the boys from work last night. Can you go on your own just this one time?"
Missus: "C'mon, get up. I really want you to come with me."
Me: "I can't. I don't think I can make it. I'm still pissed. I can feel my heart beating in my eyeballs."
Missus: "If you get up, you can buy that locker thingy."
Me: (Instantly jump up full of beans). "Lets go!"

                    I let her drive.

I pick the locked Prado up from ARB tomorrow.

What kind of persuasion method have I learnt here?

Re: Ways to persuade your other half for a new Prado accessory

Despite a few reads of it, I am still unsure how you worked that one Sterney!

I have come across a double-edged sword recently though... Let me try explain.

I have found nagging seems to work recently, basically where I keep mentioning the product over and over during general conversation, until Wife finally says, just go get it will ya!

                        NOW HERE'S THE KICKER!

Wife and I currently don't have any kids, but hopefully will have some rugrats in the future. What I have learnt though is that with my nagging I may be grooming my Wife into being a pushover when it comes to kids. Kids are the masters of nagging, so I am now fearful her defenses may be too weak (caused by me), so when it comes to kids, she will have no defense left and before I know it, the kids will have everything, leaving me with no money for more Prado gear...

My only way around this is to get everything I could possibly need for the Prado now, before any buns are in the oven...

                              Mine went like this yesterday:

                              wife: were have you been.
Me: ARb pricing up a lift.
                              Wife: why
Me: because i want to lift the prado:
                              Wife: is that right.
Me: yes it is and as soon as i have the garage door sorted.
Me: after all if you want to take you parents to fraser we will need some more height!!
                              Wife: No reply!!!
No reply means it is OK!!! if i wasn't, their would have been loud protests.

No i have to wrk out how to get the garage door up another 60-80mm.
