just bought 2012 GX Prado which only came with one key. It's the push button keyless start key and Toyota want about $600 for a new one programmed. Has anyone bought one before somewhere else? a cheaper option (eBay etc). The guy at Toyota said sometimes those keys won't work and you won't get the $146 program fee back.

Exactly as andrew3134 said. I had the same issue (2012 Prado, 1 key supplied). You will need to watch some videos on Youtube about using Techstream, but once you work it out, it's easy to program the Key. I never bothered having the key cut, just programmed the 2nd remote. Easy to program a third if you need it!Prado_The_2nd now on my Third Prado (and 2 Landcruisers before that!)
