Re: How Much is your Rego Cost ?:

OK thanks to all, I have spent some time snooping around various state sites trying to make sense of rego costs and the variation in working out the costs between states within states is amasing.
Even what people have paid above does not tally to what the state sites say so I have put it all together above, just need a couple of holes to be filled in and then the decision making can be looked into.
      Thanks again.

Re: How Much is your Rego Cost ?:

You will find it will not add up as some states succh as NSW have a seperate entity for your CTP insurance whereas in VIC this is embedded into the rego cost. You will find on the whole that the states that embedd the third party insurance into the rego will be the cheapest
Dont list all ya mods, you will only be more upset when i get further

Here is a link to the Tassie figures for anyone interested.

                    http://www.transport.tas.gov.au/fees...ass_a_vehicles

From a Prado perspective, it is cheaper by $20 odd to register the Diesel than the Petrol - 4 vs 6 Cylinders. That the case any where else?

                    Cheers

I thort it was strange when I transfered from WA to TAS on standard fee being on the number of cylinders I am sure WA go by the number of passangers the vehicle carries which is one of the reasons there are many utes getting around over there

In SA it's based on how many cylinders. Our 4 cyl Peugeot is $686.00 for the 12 months
Our 6 year old and 3 year old try their hardest to make sure there is no time or money for the other baby

That would still explain why there are so many utes around
I'm sure it's got nothing to do with cashed up 19 year olds working in Kalgoorlie (and the like)
