Hi all, i have never posted on here. I previously had a 2011 Toyota Prado and always found answers here (so wanted to pay some back). Since getting my new 2021 Prado and finding an issue with the PCS i thought i'd tell you of my experience in the hope it helps even 1 person. I wanted to redo some wiring very basic and disconnected the battery terminals. Upon completion i started the car and got the pre collision warning telling me i had to refer back to the dealer. It's the long weekend and absolutely no one could help me. I had a premonition that if i took the car for a drive it may resolve itself but then read if i did the car brakes could lock up and that would be well, just awkward. I eventually found a PDF online which said "if the battery terminals had been disconnected and the car not been sufficiently driven you would get the warning", So i was on the right track.
However the way i cleared it (was to not only drive in a safe area in case it didn't work) i took the car over 40klms an hour and set the cruise control on which immediately cleared the errors. When i got home i switched the vehicle off and came back in half hour and started it again, bingo, issue was still resolved. I'm not saying this will work for everyone however it did work for me. Would the issue have cleared without doing the cruise control thing i have no idea either. Hope this helps someone.
