Anyone has water in their catch can. I opened mine after 2000kms and found to have a bit of water in it and only a little oil in the filter. I have been driving in quite a bit of rain now days and the vehicle parks outside. I'm guessing that it's from condensation in the engine and that its maybe a good thing ?

Thanks Daniel, how often should one empty the can or just leave it for its next service?Originally posted by Daniel150 View PostYep, completely normal. Mine does it badly in cold weather. It’s just condensation. Just make sure you wash the bypass valve in the base of the filter if it’s a provent. This will stop it gumming up with a water and oil mix.

In winter, I empty mine every 2 months with minimal km. This is only because it catches a lot of water.
In summer, every 5000km is fine.
I have a provent 200 and so the outlet is quite low in the canister, this makes monitoring the levels a bit more important.
I also have a hose that fits into the hole in the base of the canister so I can blow a bit of air through the drain hose. I’ve found in cold weather the hose can become gummed up with the water mixture.
