At the WA 4wd show one of the salesman was telling me how great the new cfx was but when pushed it is all good but minor changes. The new led display is great but it's only a display, usb charger is really no big deal and better insulation sounds good.

However its physically quite a bit bigger and the jury is out on the new specially developed compressor. It will take at least a few years to know if it's as good and reliable as the danfoss. I'm always wary of first generation products.

Also the other downside is that they only have one dual zone version the CFX60, I am hoping they bring out a dual zone 50

I had a look at the CFX range, issues for me are the catch needs to be pushed hard to shut and looks a little flimsy and they have changed the footprint so it wont fit in my drop slide.

Been running a CF50DZ for about 3 years....The lid latch has stuffed up, easy fix with some elastic tonneau hooks....The connection for the 12v died, so i hard wired it in...Apart from that, its been great...

I bought some of their dry ice packs several years ago and they were good, not sure about the fridges though. Looks like a pretty good buy with all the bonus extras, my only concern would be the casing is made out of polypropylene not metal. I don't own a Waeco or any other 12v/240v car fridge so not sure how these would compare in terms of construction.

              Hello,
I have the a Waeco cfx 40 fridge all was good for a couple of months but now when driving I can here the compressor rattling.
Does anyone else have the same problem with this fridge as it is really annoying the #### out of me.
Rang Waeco today and they reckon it's normal.

we bought one of the new CDF-45 budget models before we left on our trip, doesnt have the grab handles or 240volt adapter , but for $550 it's a cheaper alternative.

                  Me too. CF50
Had a discussion with Waeco and sent the fridge back for assessment.
Apparently it's normal. But gives me the sh1ts too.
Also went to Anaconda and gave all their Waecos a shaking. They all do it.
I think it's that the ride in the back of my ARB'd Prado suspension is firmer. Less of a problem when I have a full fuel load, or the caravan hooked up which compresses the suspension and makes the ride a bit more compliant.
Same fridge doesn't rattle in the back of the honda.
Get used to it, or turn the radio up I guess.

We have the CFX 65 and CFX30 don't have a problem with either. The 30 lives in the back of the work prado and spends most of its time on gravel roads. Can't say we hear either rattling.

Do you have the Dual Zone model of the CFX65? I haven't had a chance to test mine out in the Prado yet but it was pretty quiet when working off 240v.

                            Hi fido666
It's the straight fridge we run the 65 as a fridge and the 30 as a freezer. When you got yours did you get the wireless temp gauge?? it's very handy tells you temp and what volts the fridge is getting even with both fridges running it swaps between both handy as you can keep a eye on what the charging system is doing nothing worse than getting to your destination and having warm beer.

Only rattles when in the back of the prado and on rough roads.

We figured for the 2 of us the combined fridge freezer would be enough, hope we got it right.

No, I was thinking about it though. Will have to wait for another sale, we got the fridge for 25% off RRP with all the other extras thrown in free bar the cover.
