      Hi Pete
Love the new set up i'am actually picking up my new kk there
next saturday so i hope there all back up and running. With your bent
panel work i would be looking for other evidence of repair or removal
eg guard bolts support panel as by looking at the damage there would
have to be other evidence . If you go back to your dealer be prepared
for them to say not our fault should have been picked pick up at time
delivery . I would ask them to see history on the computer system
as that would show all repair orders . Ask for copies for all of them
if there got nothing to hide they will show you .Another way is ask
them who there preferred panel shop is and go ask them wether they
have repaired your car at any time . Unfortunatly the dealer will always
try and get out of it i know i work for one still.

Sorry Guys. Still without power our way after the storms so only connect for a short time via my mobile.

Thanks for all the congrats etc. Much appreciated. We are as happy as a pig in S%#t.

Rally1 I have sent you a PM with some possible KK news you may not know.

Chippy. Moo still won't stand out as much as our Pink Bunny Costumes  (A personal joke)

As to the damage. Well it's over $55k... yes that a BIG ouch. It's a Limited Edition and we have optioned it up with everything except the DVD & LCD screen.
It's an extremely self sufficient unit. We have 350Ah of batteries with 3 solar panels so we hope to be able to get right away on the odd occasion for weeks on end. Anyone interested can look at:
        http://www.kimberleykaravans.com
        pricing is http://www.kimberleykaravans.com/buying/buying.php
Fortuately we got ours at the 2006 price we locked in at thousand less than the 2007 price list.
        Cheers

          Pete,

Congrats on finally taking delivery of your new KK. Can't wait to test it out no doubt. Give us a yell if you are up for a short trip soon.

Hope your power was restored quickly, I must say it's a sign of devotion - connection via your G3 mobile! Well done.

We had a crazy time this weekend. We had 90+mm plus 130+mm rainfall in two days, the highest I've ever recorded. Our yard flooded (even though we are on top of a mountain! - I'll have to finish my drainage works one day) then we had crazy high winds and the power went out for 18 hours.

On top of all this, my little baby daughter was admitted to hospital on Friday morning with breathing problems - she finally came home Sunday night. So if the wind and the rain wasn't enough to keep me awake, there was the worrying about my little one. Mrs Drew had a harder time, stuck in hospital for two nights looking after our baby, sharing a room with a very distressed two year old who went nuts every time they tried to put the nebuliser on him every four hours throughout the night.

Now I've got a cold, and our pet budgie died tonight.

Could be worse, at least we've got our power back, there's a lot of people up north in the Hunter Region who are suffering.

Our thoughts are with all our northern friends.

          Cheers,

          Drew.

I've been there, mate - so know exactly what you're going thru...

Hope it all works out... it's the kind of thing that's much better when it's all behind you and ancient history.

Of course, these young ones will grow into gnarly teenagers wanting to know what we ever did for them...

Ain't that the truth. At least my daughter who is now 20 seems to be human again after her teenage years. Drew, you must be due for some good luck soon - things must get better.

Being as I grew up in your neck of the woods I have been watching with interest the news about the rainfall.

But is it falling in the dam?

I remember as a kid watching the water almost lapping the bottom of Victoria bridge penrith.

It washed peoples backyards away, roads gone and all those caravan parks were demolished around wisemans etc.

Crazy amounts of rain. Is the rain falling where its needed?
Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water.

                    Hi Drew.
Sorry to hear of your bad run. Hope is all is settling down now?
We escaped the fairly lightly compared to many other poor buggers. We had some water come in downstairs and our chimney top blew off but thats nothing compared to the devastation of trees and power lines that are down and flooding in some areas.
We got power back on late last night - Yeah

Now I have to find some spare time to catch up on all the posts I've missed.

Angus dropped about 25-30mm in the bum when Moo was added. Now i'm on a search (depends on $) for:
                    1) Polyairs
                    2) 2" lift
                    3) Combo with both 1 & 2 above. Would love this option but $ > than my budget me thinks
I do not have the time to do any of it my self so i have to pay fitting $ also.

                    Cheers

new cars get damaged at dealerships a lot more often than they would like the general public to know. My other half use to work in a ford dealership and has told may stories about accidents occuring when cars were being removed or put onto transport trailers.

Sorry guys. The story is short as the dealer came up with nothing. They got the Prado from another dealer. I had the service manager go over it. They came up with no history of the damage and I could have stood my ground however have had a similar problem before on a new car where I picked some paint issues and eventually I came out the loser. I have just let it slide.

Sorry it's there Pete but you're right. Very rarely does anyone make a fuss and have the problem sorted properly. A little like the urban legend of complaining about your dinner at a restaurant and what can happen when the chef gets it back. Maybe better just to accept it and remember for next time.
