      Nah Tony, it only checks individual pages as you visit them. This is an important feature for sites like pradopoint with rapidly changing content, otherwise each visit may not reveal new posts. Knocking down your cache size is a great idea for efficiency though.

        I tried Firefox purely because I hate the hold MS has over the world but I ended up with heaps of problems with the laptop including speed & viruses. It may have been a co-incidence but it was enough to make me change back unfortunately.
        I'm not especially computer literate & each time I have a problem, I need to ring a repair guy to come & fix. I reckon 50% of the time, I get ripped off. The ones that do fix it for me seem to have fallen off the edge of the earth when I try & ring them again a year later.

          Ditto Mike

          I've been running them both - side by side - for a couple of weeks - and I'm back to IE as my regular. Firefox is bloody fast but it gets little glitches in it's tiny brain and does some dumb things. IE is more reliable {prepares self for flame attack}

          It may well be a case of "better the devil you know". I am used to IE and it's foibles. I don't know enough about Firefox to tweek it for minimum glitches.

          So - for now - I'll stick with IE.

          Cheers

            IE at work coz I have to
            Safari at home- coz its a mac!
            firefox occaisionally for the fun of it.

            Some things won't load properly in Safari so then I use Firefox to check it.

            Have no real preferance though!
