Prado 2011 European upgrade

Heres's an interesting post I came across on the Internet:

"Toyota has revealed the European update for the 2011 Prado. 2011 Toyota Prado equipped with 3.0 litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that upgraded for 2011, power getting a significant bump from 127kW to 141kW, while torque is up slightly from 410Nm to 420Nm between 1600-2800rpm"

Can anyone elaborate on this - eg when will be available in Australia?

The engine change is to deal with the new Euro 5 regulations. There are no plans to bring that to Australia early. At this point I understand there will be some technical changed in MY011 but have not been briefed on them yet. All I got was "minor changes"

Any more updates on this, we are looking at upgrading our 120 D4D GXL to a 150 GXL in June 2011. Just like to know what we are look at...

To date there's been nothing further written to the internet about this upgrade. I have set up a global search on this topic and shall post to PP any news published in those forums. Of course unlike Julian Assange I have no access to private networks or paper formats. But my guess is that the diesel upgrade will arrive here at some not too distant time.

Here's some latest news about a new 60th anniversary year Prado model to be released on 1st March in Europe.
The commemorative badges would be nice to have. Are they coming here?

Just wanted to let you all know I have just returned from my local Toyota dealer who showed me the technical update release for 2011, orders placed now for november will have the update, while it does not state anything about the engine, there was something on there about grill and dash layout. Just thought I would let you all know.

Thanks 12gage, which dealer was it? I ordered mine last week and checked with the dealer and of course they knew nothing about it, would be nice to get the update even if it's a couple of weeks extra.

Toyota dealer was Frankston Vic, I have recently spoken to another dealer who informed me that card ordered after November will get the update, I will be holding off untill Jan or Feb, not only for update but 2012 model.
