  • Navman MY85XLT GPS

just received an offer from Navman to trade in old unit for amongst others the MY85XLT GPS.

    Price $249.

Have been quite happy with the old Navman S80, and interested to hear of anyone using the MY85xlt and their thoughts.

Also its compatibility with Prado so far as Voice destination entry (tell it where you want to go) is concerned.

Did you end up going for the upgrade? If so what do you think of it?

I am looking for a new GPS before doing a trip to Qld in January and this one got me interested. It's costs a bit more than I was hoping to spend but it looks as though it might be worth it, was just hoping for some feedback.

    Thanks

The latest Harvey Norman catalogue has it listed for $198. I am just starting my search on these units so if anyone does have one some feed back either good/bad would be appreciated.

I ended up buying one from Harvey Norman, I think it was about $230ish. Ive really only used it once, seems to work well and relatively easy to use. The only thing that dissapointed me was that the advanced lane guidance only works on intersections that have been loaded onto the system, I'm assuming Tassie would be similar to SA and I havent come across an intersection in SA where it works. Having said that though I need the GPS more for when I go interstate so hopefully when I head up to Qld it will be a help.
Let me know if I can help out with any other details.

How time flies have had unit now for over 4 years and happy with it except that the windscreen mount is not good.

Has anyone tried either of these dash mounts?
