Has anyone managed to use a 4Gb SD Card with a Navlink?
I just bought one of these that the seller said takes a 4Gb card.
I have bought and tried four different cards, all of them not seen by the Navlink.
On searching the net, I found a comment that CE 4.2 does not support above 2GB and you need CE 5 or above?
Can anyone clarify this, the ebay seller is useless and keeps ignoring my question about this.

Good discussion. Has anyone tried the Brash's version at http://www.brashimports.com.au/index.htm
I am thinking of the 4.3"Metal frame GPS/Reversing camera unit (you need to scroll down a bit),
Cheers,

Just a small hint for owners of (some of) these Navlink GM 4306 GPS Units.
The battery died in my GM 4306 Navlink a while back, and when I looked at it closely, its a common battery found in many Nokia phones from a couple years ago.
The 3.7 volt Nokia battery BR-5C, BL-5C, etc all fit these Navlinks. I have been running a Nokia battery in my Navlink for last 6 months, no probs
The batteries are Li-ion type, and I think they all come from the same factory in China. So if your battery dies, there may be a cheap fix in one of your cupboards.
Please note that the batteries may not suit all of these GPS units. If you read further on there are pics of my model that does take these batteries

Where abouts is the battery located Daz, mine starts chirping (low battery warning) almost as soon as I disconnect it from a power source. I've had a look and there is a panel in the top and bottom but the one on the bottom has a warranty protection sticker on one of the screws. I tried removing the top panel but gave up when it looked like I'd have to start using a bit of brute force and ignorance to get it off.
On the back, mine has a slide opening. The cover slides downward, sort of like a mobile ph back cover
I dont have any pics to show you the back of it, but can do this if you need.
The battery started beeping in mine soon after I bought it. The Nokia was a bit better, but I have had to set the graphics to a happy median to ensure some decent battery life, plus be able to see it.
I found when I located mine down where Chippy has his fitted, I didnt need to have backlight as bright, hence bit longer while off charge
Not sure what model mine is, the box it came in says GM4306 but it doesnt have any access via the back, just an upper and lower cover held in by two very small screws. Naturally enouigh the Ebay trader is no longer registered and the product no longer displayed.
I guess I'll either have to brave it and see if I can pry the covers off one at a time or just leave it. As long as its plugged into a power source it runs like a charm, however as soon as its disconnected it starts beeping. I only ever use it while its plugged in.
Ill post a pic hopefully tonite. And will confirm the actual model number off the box. But it sounds like its different in some way, as the battery cover on mine is easy to see.
Yeah, dont expect much support from the trader either. The only corrospondance I had was a message in broken english.

Here's a pic of the rear of mine. There are no moveable openings on the back.
And the top.
This is where I tried to gain access but I stopped once it became obvious I would have to start using force to get it off. The bottom is the same as the top
Hey Rainman, I have the same unit as yours and have replaced the batt with a non genuine BL-5C. You will have to take out the 4 screws you described and once you have it apart there's another 4 holding a board inside you will have to remove to get to the battery. Fairly easy job and it does improve the usable time from about 3mins to about 20-30mins.
