Good find. I was thinking of getting a cheap GPS for the GTG. I saved the directions on how to convert to OzExplorer and will search eBay for one.
Thanks,

I have tried this and it works like a charm.
Download the free 1:250000 .ecw maps from www.ga.gov.au.
Then convert to WINCE format with the program from Ozi's website.
Also have a look at http://www.pradopoint.com/viewtopic.php?t=3245

Gotta love these cheapy eBay GPS units. Many of the brand name units are locked up and don't allow the addition of other software.
These units generally are not locked so the opportunities are there to play.
I've got mine running two different street navigator programs, while I explore which one suits me best, and OziExplorer. I'm just playing around wiith loading GSFINDER and building a folder of shortcuts to the three programs that I used. Then when I turn it on it will autoload to a choice of three icons ... the two street nav programs and Ozi .... then its one touch and away.
Cheers

Chippy,
could you let me know what other street software you are running and where did you source it. I find Route 66 is not real flash, but it will probably do me for a while. But the problem I have is we have a campervan booked in New Zealand for October and of course Route 66 have no coverage of "Un-Zud" . I have been googleing my arse off and have not found much information. I may have to stick with paper maps, Navman do NZ but cost more than my GPS setup just for the maps alone. I have found some maps for Ozi but they are to large a scale to be too helpful. Thanks in advance.Snowy

Hey Clifton, how did you go?
I just received my GPS unit and seems to work fine. Street navigation interface is almost identical to the Mio device (which cost $300+). Not uploaded OziExplorer yet but will organise that at the first opportunity.2006 VX 4.0; Factory bulbar; 2" Ironman Suspension lift; Yokohama Geolandar GO12 AT-S tyres; El Cheapo E-bay GPS with OziExplorer CE installed (works a treat).

$230 all up, have purchased OziexplorerCE and a second 2GB SD card, it runs Oziexplorer no problems downloaded a couple of 1:250,000 maps to test no problems! will go and see Snowy when I can, and get a few pointers/tips.
Have a house full of relatives so have not time to play with toys at present :x07 Upgrade GXL D4D, Manual, Dune,Sov Bar, BFG's, SG11, Redark dual Batts, Extensive Aux wiring, Stebel, LED stop tails, IPF HID's (my mod), 240V Inv, ARB Comp, GME UHF,TPMS, Safari snorkel, GPS,Hilux washers, 40l Engel in 30% pas pos, homemade A/C cond protection plate, polyairs.

I managed to get OziExplorer running on the unit last night and it all worked fine. I downloaded a couple of maps from www.ga.gov.au and converted them through OziExplorer (after a bit of trial and error). All seems to be working sweet now.
I have also tested the standard iGo stnav and it works fine. All up has cost me $105 plus some time on the PC. Next step will be to get a full license verion of OziExplorerCE for $40. Also may get the Hema maps on disk for $150. After all that the total investment will be $250. Certainly a lot cheaper than the Magellan for $1200.2006 VX 4.0; Factory bulbar; 2" Ironman Suspension lift; Yokohama Geolandar GO12 AT-S tyres; El Cheapo E-bay GPS with OziExplorer CE installed (works a treat).
