    Hey guys,
Just so everyone is aware, the AVN11TP is an upgrade to the TP09X1, not the Premium system. The premium system will be relaunched properly with website etc but I am trying to develop my own interface for it which will have the same functionality but look nicer. Customers with the premium system already will be able to update when the interface is ready. There are a few things to organise so no ETA as yet.
So far the AVN11TP has been a brilliant system and feedback is good.
    Regards,
    Matt

      Hi All,
I am a new Prado 120 series owner and I would like a GPS unit from DigOptions but I would like to know the difference between the different models that are on offer.

I understand that the AVN11TP is an upgrade to the TP09X1, but what is the Premium system.

(does anyone have a link explaining the difference or is there a preferred unit over another)

      Thanks
      Gav

Hi Randy, thanks heaps for your kind thoughts. I'm sitting in the China airport now and awaiting my flight back to Melbourne. It's been a real eye opener I have to say. Thanks again. Matt

Hi ALL I am just wondering does anyone who has had the DIGOPTIONS unit TP09X1 or AVN11TP unit fitted had any issues against the unit. I am lookig at purchasing one and am curious how good they are and what the GPS mapping is like as well as the DVD / CD and TV goes . Basically the unit as a whole. I see the reviews on them but am waiting to see what the full thoughts are. I see the after sales service appears to be very good. Any feedback would be greatly apprciated. Cheers Jeff

Um, there are 32 pages of this in this same thread. There have been various issues and Matt seems to bend over backwards to help out.

I have no problems with the unit it works a treat. Only thing that took me a little while to get use to, is the buttons on the steering wheel are slighlty different (push the Up arrow and the unit scrolls down and vise versa for the Down button).

Hi Wally, if you check out the manual and can make sense of it, you will be able to re-program the buttons. The instructions are towards the end of the manual. Regards, Matt

Hey guys, with the help of our customer we have solved the issue with Ozi Explorer menus being too small. It is an Ozi settings thing that needs to be updated.

Use the options on the Sys2 tab in general settings to configure the menu and dialog sizes.
All further help can be found at http://www.oziexplorer3.com/ozice/help/ ... onfig.html

You will need to change the settings in the "General Settings" Sys 2 menu as follows:

                      Menu font size: 8
                      Dialog Font: 18
                      Toolbar size: 18
                      Menubar size: 1
                      Keyboard size: 6
                      and ticked the checkbox.

This will deliver a big improvement in regards to some sizing issues.

                      All thanks goes to Ben.

                      Cheers,

                      Matt

If anyone has a camera handy, could they possibly take a few photos of the micro SD card reader (close up).

I was upgrading my maps the other night and the locking mechanism holding the micro card into the reader has either become dislodged or broke.

It would be good to have a picture of when the card is in, as well as when the card is removed.

I've emailed Matt to see what the options are, so waiting to hear back.

Ive tried using gaffa to hold the card in place, but the ejection spring is too strong and the card cant be held onto the contacts. Also tried thickening the micro SD card with a small section of my business card held on with tape trying to create resistance on the top and bottom of front chassis but the spring again is too strong.

For your info I sent you a replacement SD Card reader before flying to HK, where i am now. I spoke with my repairer and he said its not an easy job as you need to be very handy with the solder. Let me know how you go.
                          Cheers,

Thanks Matt, top quality service right there (also reiterates the benefits of buying locally)!
I'll take a good look at it, and assess and see how I go. I've got a decent soldering and reworking station available to use which should make the job much easier.

                              Hey guys,
We've had a few people of late request a replacement for our new system in exchange for their older model which may have developed a fault. I just wanted to make it public that if a customer's system was just a month or two old we may consider but otherwise this idea will not be entertained. It's more of a commercial decision, not that we don't love you! Of course we will continue to offer the backup service that you know us for, regardless of model during the warranty period and beyond with parts. We could however negotiate an upgrade price with discount however a straight swap over would put us out of business. Hope you understand our position.
                              Cheers,
                              Matt

OK, Im back in business, fixed the card reader locking mechanism.

Had a little time up my sleeve and was feeling a little creative so decided to customise my GPS with a few pics of the rig. Oops number plate is backward!
