Got bored today so I installed the switches ready for the CHIPIT chip and a few other mods planned for the coming weeks. Pictures don't do justice to the switches so look here for better views of the actual switches http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...t-Switch/page6
First off the chip switch to go from green to mean. The switch matches the ARB ones that finally got used on the Border Track trip.
Next, the spottie switch which still have the original IPF switch above it. The IPF switch will go once the Bunny Burner switch is wired.
Finally, the winch isolator switch to stop little hands activating the winch via the remote (coming soon), and a switch to enable me to start from the Aux battery should the need arise. Simply activates the control on the RedArc.
No more switch holes so anything else has to get "cut-in" including the EGT and dual battery monitor. Absolutely no idea where they are going to be placed......

Happy to look after your garage remote when I head over in December. Or alternatively do some day trips . So want to do the Power Lines at Kalamunda provided the 6 nch lift and 33 inch tyred vehicles haven't made it too hard.

Are you trying to get me in trouble with the missus mate? Surely you don't expect all that wired up in one afternoon?
Looks good though, you've done well... Like the "Bunny Burner" caption - awesome!!!
Matty, it will only take all afternoon to do the following if you drag your feet
1. relocate winch box (the 3b&S has been ordered and expected this week)
2. wire up the redarc
3. change the IPF (AKA Bunny burner switch)
4. Install the 3 inch exhaust (due tomorrow)
5. If AMTS gets then fabricated in time we can install the plates
All up about 1.5 hours followed by drinking the Jims I have to buy.
If that's not enough time we could always call a tech day. No need to post this coz Dave can smell beer from his house in the hills. lol

Good switches Rob. I think i'll get some. You should be able to wire the bunny burner switch straight off the mouse switch. Just cut it off, solder on some spade bits and away you go. Surely you don't need Matty to do that???
Ok guys, when are we doing this??? I am in, even if it is simply to support Matty drinking. I can even hand the parts to you two
14 June appears to be the date. Staring in the morning.
Have the shiny exhaust ready including the gasket from the turbo to the dump (got from Toyota). No breaking bolts here because Toyota have non in stock in SA!
Have the 3 B&S cable for the winch relocation and also have the remote unit.
Have the EGT. Could fit in this unit if so inclined.
I'm pretty sure Matt is happy for anyone to attend.

Ian
No soldering of spade crimps mate, designed for crimping! So crimping it is!
Dave
You can hand me the tools and burbon...
Rob
Watch and learn mate... Our better yet, I'll provide the expert guidance when you rip skin off those soft pretty hands of yours while removing the exhaust. I'll do the easy electrical bits...

Howdy MLC,
Just wondering did you put the Cooper 265 70 17's on B4 the lift kit ?
Regards Adam
Yep.....I have a Prado just like you Bugger Bali, get out and see Australia before we sell it all to China My Rig BuildTowing Camprite TL8s (if ya wanna look PM me)
$220 is cheaper than what u would pay in NSW its $600 per year here for plates like that
Depending on what you're getting it's a one off fee between $275 to $600 here in Vic.
My custom number plates (6 letters - which I haven't put on my new prado yet) I've had since 1999. Paid $150 for them at a time. It just costs you $100 to switch them from car to car everytime
