Nomad happening..
Well just got off the phone with the director of wholesale transmissions Rodney. What a top bloke ! he is right into the 4wd scene and loves the 120 Prado shape, previously owning a V6 Grande before upgrading to a 200 series.
He has done me a very good deal on my Nomad Valve body and a manual torque convertor lockup kit as well. The valve body is going to provide smoother, yet better timed up and down shifts according to the throttle position and engine load. The manual lockup kit allows you to manually lock the torque convertor when in low gears either pulling heavy loads (on sand etc) or going downhill, proving massive engine braking. He says controlling the manual lockup needs abit of practice, but once the application (when and where) is mastered, it is brilliant off road. I shall do a separate write up once it arrives and we get it installed and sorted out.
Have a look at the website : http://www.automatictransmission.com.au/

Rodney is more than happy to chat about his gear and explain all the answers to your questions. I was very apprehensive about sort of going in blind and buying this valve body, but once it was competently explained to me I understand the concept and am looking forward to installing and testing it for everyone.
Cheers
