  • Don't worry... I've had the Toyota TPMS installed since new (Oct 2008), and apart from one faulty sensor battery (Toyota replaced them all under warranty), no problems. Great to see instant read-outs of pressures and temperatures when travelling. Very simple to use and operate. Enjoy.

        • Bugger, looks like 3 of the 5 sensors are faulty, 2 seem to take forever to read, 1 of them came up with a low battery warning but that disappeared and the third one reads the tyre pressure at 99psi and minus 37 degrees
Ive messaged the ebay seller, see what happens!
          Not looking promising though.

          • Might be their batteries if they've been sitting for a while and never been used. They can take a little while to read sometimes... but should soon respond once driving. Maybe they just need to be driven for a while???

            • I hope youre right, Ill let it go until tomorrow and reset and reprogram them again and see what happens.

Two work straight away, third one comes on within about 3 k's and the fourth takes ages, maybe 6k's!
The fifth just goes ballistic into alarm and reads silly numbers!

Whole thing has just bummed me out now

Ta mate, not sure what to do with them yet, maybe sell them off or just keep them for down the track and resale.
They do take up a lot of space though!

                        • Ive been playing around with the pressure sensors today and theres a bit of good news.
After reseting and reprograming the sensors, 4 out of five seem to be behaving normally.
After going for a drive and a few stops and starts, 4 seem like theyve come good an work correctly and start up quickly too.
So thats good, thanks NTP , going for a drive helped.
The fifth which luckily happens to be in the spare still goes nuts and reads 99psi and -37 degrees C so Ive switched that one off.
So maybe they did just need a drive around to get the 4 working????
See how it goes during the week but at least 4 out of 5 is better than 2!

Bit bored today, still raining, blowing a gale so thought Id get another couple of jobs done.
First the mud flap extensions so it stop trashing the bumper

$25 from SCA and I just cut them down to the length I wanted.

and finally got around to mounting the fire extinguisher
