Rang the locals, they said the local market is flooded with cheap crap so no point in carrying that kind of thing anymore.
Couple of local PP inmates have offered to let me borrow one so Ill try that first.

This is the switch assembly Im going to use.
It will go in the square cutout below the 2nd start button on the dash.

Closed, winch off and rear battery charging on.

Open, winch on and rear battery disconnected.

That looks pretty impressive mate, looks like it could also be used to launch an ICBM

That's an Inter Continental Ballistic Missile, not a 1 Cool Banana Missile

        • Get a second switch, to arm the dual, rack mounted m60's. On is guns and aiming spot (your centre one), off is off

3B&S might be a contributing factor in why your winch wouldnt pull the skin off a rice pudding
That gauge is definitely below recommended size of minimum 2B&S, will heat up and increase resistance if you work the winch especially since youve lengthened the cables.
              Just a thought!

              • Snorkel Saga

                The snorkel saga continues unfortunately.
I went to pick it up last Wednesday from a shop in Penrith but when I got there it was for a diesel.
I didnt feel like traveling another 80k's there and back so since they stuffed it up they were going to courier the right one to my home the following day Thursday.
Thursday, it was supposedly picked at 1pm up from the shop to be delivered to me the same day, about 40k's away.
Thursday came and went, rang them, they said dont worry it will be there Friday.
Friday came and went as did the weekend and still Monday arvo nothing again and I rand them for the 20th time.
The new story was that the courier couldnt read the scrawl on the box that was the address and the halfwit decides he was going to take it back to the shop.
Phone call would have been good!!!!!
5 more calls later, its absolutely definitely promised be here Tuesday.
Tuesday came and went and another 10 calls to be told absolutely promised for today!
Today has come and gone and the latest story is they discovered it today in the back of the workshop where so called halfwit had returned it but no one noticed.
Apparently was put on a courier at lunchtime so I should get it today!!!
Again no one called, I had to ring again!!!

I hate being told bullshit .

So today has gone and still no snorkel, lets see what tomorrow brings!!!
It will be 8 days tomorrow for a courier to get it from Penrith to the Hills, about 40k's.......UNEFFINGBELIEVABLE!!!!!

Dont think I will be dealing with those folks anymore

                • Looks like you should have posted this in the 'Things that tick you off' thread

Lets hope they get their act in gear tomorrow. Perhaps you could demand they install it for free for you to compensate.

                  • I would lose my $hit if that happened to me.

They dont seem to think its an issue or any big deal!!!!!
Theres no way I would trust them to do it properly under duress.

                        • Hi Marc
Take a deep breath Mate and relax.
All this extra waiting for your snorkel to arrive, should give you time to charge the drill, sharpen the trimming knife, select the sockets and measure the masking tape.
Surely these Jokers will offer you some sort of sweetener to keep their good? name out of the gutter on such forums as Pradopoint.
Hope things go well with the install, look forward to reading the install post and pictures.
                          Cheers Troy

                              • You should try living in cental oz, 3 weeks delivery on anything not in stock(which is nearly everything) and you have to pay for the frieght on top of full retail price. I would have driven the 40 k to pick it up, I drive further to work each day
